whil playing through half life 1 again (after completing hl2 for the first time :cheese: ) I noticed that gordon has a picture of a kid in his locker in black mesa. could it be that gordon freeman has a family? wife? kids? and why does he never talk? is he mute, maybe? it would possibly explain why no one ever expects him to speak. it may even also contribute to his messianic stance among the rebels?

but wait, why would he have a pic of a sleeping baby in his locker?
unless...
urgh.
no.

"Since you are unmarried and without dependants..."

true. true. I also noticed after the incident one of the dr kleiner lookalike scientists said "I knew this experiment was dangerous, but the administrator wouldnt listen!" I used to presume the administrator was G-man, but obviously its breen, right? sounds suspicious? maybe he wanted this to happen, so the combine would chase the nihilanth (based on a theory on the wiki) to earth and grant him power?

Like, we've discussed this heavily before. Just do a search and you should find some answers/speculation.

He never talks because the developers want to make out that YOU the player are Gordon Freeman

Why would Freeman have a picture of Alyx as a baby? Him and Eli were just colleagues on nodding terms with each other at the time.

You've got great eyesight, by the way.

Yes he does.

P.S: I fixed the Grammar for you:thumbs:.

Maybe it's one of those party invitation things. Picture on one side, details on the other side. I'm sure they had the technology back then to print party invites using custom photographs. Gordon just decided to keep the invitation in his locker.

NOTE: I realise that it's just a picture of a developer's baby thrown in there for fun, but in terms of forcing abstract things to fit into the storyline, I like to pretend that's a picture of Alyx. :p

Hmm...just an Easter Egg? Or a hint to Gordon's "preferences"?

I mean, I can't understand why Gordon would have a baby picture of Alyx, as stated, Eli and him were just friends, and if Gordon has no direct family as said in the manual, there must be something much deeper at play...

G-MAN BABY PICTURE!

Niece? No dependants doesn't mean no sibling's children.

Alyx could be Gordons daughter in which Eli adopted while Gordon was away. I'd like that to happen.

That's kind of disturbing seeing the "looks" she gives you and the comments of others about you two in ep.1 ;)

Wow, you guys are funneh.

It's one of the devs' kids.

I just noticed the singleplayer mythology section and realised this should be moved there. admin please?

Guys there is a simple explanation and that is that Gordon Freeman is a pedophile.

I'd copy/paste Brian Peppers' head onto a hazard suit but I'm lazy.

Gordon must have had parents and siblings... I bet Barney is his cousin, and Dr Mossman is his mom. The G-Man, of course, is his uncle.
