I don't care about the gore level in a game, but I was wondering, is there a way to switch off the gore in the game? if no, how much gore is there?

not that you'd really need to. Any gore is basically limited to blood splats.

I think its pretty good that there is minimal gore it makes the deaths more satisfieng if every body explodes in exacty the same way.

I thought the first HL was more gorey. At least I remember it that way... maybe I'm wrong.

But then I might also be jaded now, since there's so much gore to be had in so many games now.

Gore wise, HL1 was more gorey in respect of blowing peoples bodies in small bits. HL2 focuses more on the ragdoll reactions this time altho I'm sure it's not for the sake of being less gory.

Heheheh yeah.

My FAVORITE Zombie to saw-blade is in Ravenholm...

Spoiler Warning...

If you read any further it's your own fault...

Before you get to the spot where you board Father Greg's sky-lift to safety, there's a roof you walk out on. A fast Zombie scurries up a fire-escape (one you'll use later to get to the sky-lift), and then vaults up and toward you. I LOVE saw-blading him in mid-air. There's something so gratifying about watching his torso land on the roof, as his legs plummet to the courtyard below (or vice versa). The first time I did this, I had 12 HP left, and no ammo... it was a relief to be sure that it worked

This has been a Spoiler Warning.

lol... i've done the same thing... a formidable one shot weapon indeed. I wonder if it will happen the same thing if you use it on combine soldiers.

I tried throwing barrels atthem. It took seven times to kill one. Nothing I recomend.

Should Dubu be embarassed to admit never having occurred to use the rightclick on the shotgun any of the times playing through the game? (now on third playthrough)?

Nah I played it... but when it came out like twenty zillion years ago.

Monkey, the object has to be of decent weight and you have to aim for the upper body, it tips them over...And does more damage, i killed them in 1 shot with an engine, a barrel, basicly anything of descent weight.

Some mod will probably make a

more gory than Soldier of Fortune, Phantasmagoria and pacman

with ragdolls
