ok, my PC has a 1.4GHz processer, 512mb ram, and a 32mb TNT2 graphix card... could i play Half Life 2??

Only if you're really freakin lucky. I believe that ValvE dropped DirectX 6 support quite a while before HL2 was released.

the x700 will run it. But i think the processor will be a problem. Isn't the minimum recommended 1.6GHz?

x700 isn't a good card to buy, get the 6600gt, faster and cheaper

Yeah thats a better idea, your going to be in for a bumpy ride with that processor too, but with a good card you will be able to run it...just may be a bit slow in places.

I had an X700 PCI Express and an AMD 4000+ and HL2 ran fine...so I guess he would need more processing power.

If you can, upgrade your CPU. I'm guessing it's a P4 Socket 478. Just go to newegg.com and find a socket 478 P4. Then you can get that X700 and games should run pretty good.

you will be able to run it with a new video card. Your processor will work fine if you dont want to upgrade. The minimum system requirements say you need a 1.2 ghz processor so you will be fine with a new card

omg lol where the hell did u get 4000 and your only in the 8th grade. also dont buy alienwares buy the parts yourself and get someone to build it which will cost so much less but better bang out of your computer
