...Ok? You're standing in a dark room with a few walls. I could get over 200 in that area. Want a cookie?

You sure about The FPS good?
Because I notice about 55% people are getting well bad FPS with as good systems as yours and mine or even better

Wow you're standing in a room with no light sources, with no AA or AF on, using a low resolution and getting those speeds. Not to mention your login name is your system specs, I get a hard enough time having specs in my sig I can't imagine the shit you'll catch from all the people who see that's your LOGIN.

Have you figured out why people don't seem to like you that much yet? I'll give you a hint: read your own posts and tell me you didn't make this thread to brag or show off.

I "dare" you.

EDIT: I bet you're one of those people who such at CS because you spend so much time looking at your fps. ;)

man.. 237fps

i wish hehe. What resolution and settings are you running at?

:) Enjoy, BIIIATCH! SUCK MY E-PENIS! Let this be a lesson, stop yer useless ass braggin' boy!

Does your system RAM make a big difference?

I have 512mb pc3200 kingston value ram. If i got another stick - would i see any great improvments in framerates

:O Probably like 3 to 6 FPS increase, on a normal basis. Extra ram will also make your games load and exit faster.

cool hehe

I dunno if its just me, but in office if i chuck a nade in a room with heaps of dynamic objects, i get a bit of lag as it explodes...

I have a 9600XT 256MB, with 512MB of system RAM. I have the settings as it recommended, with texture detial medium... I dunno - i dont want it to lag cos i like blowing stuff up!

Go ahead and tone it down some settings then. Don't use the game's recommendation ;) . The recommendations for mine wanted me to put 6 AA and 16 AF, changed it to 0 AA and Trilinear filtering. What I am saying is the game might set your thing higher than you would want it. So, just tinker with your settings until you feel comfortable.

At the same time i want it to look pretty hehe

What settings can you tone down to increase performance without taking too much away from the visuals

 I dunno but, 9600 XT, 1024 x 728... everything on medium(or low-medium), NO AA, Bilinear or Trilinear filtering. Turn on Truform to application preference in your dispay options.

:dozey: Ummm, I am not sure if Bilinear filtering will give you a great performance increase, but for sure it should give you an increase, but expect a bit of qualitative decrease, personally i'd leave it on Trilinear. On a sidenote the upcoming 4.10's feature "Catalyst AI" Which swaps back and forth between Bilinear and Trilinear, I think Half Life 2 is supported in it... they deal is great IMO.

The quality goes down but the fps increase is absolutely rediculously high...And I'm not kidding neither.

Theres loads of areas on aztec (steps at T spawn, one of the corners near the bombsite inbetween double doors) where anything higher than Bilinear AF will cripple cssource...especially online.

i just put it biliniar.. didnt see much dif in quality.. when theres an office server pumpin thru my ISP il go chuck a nade and see how it went hehe

I am on 1280x1024, everything highest, 4xAF, 2xAA, and I am getting ~60FR, ~35 in aztec :)

Ahh yeah but my settings were at there highest lol nice try

:dozey: No yours weren't. Mine were though, everything on high, 1280 x 1024 6 AA, 16 AF. Eat that mofo.

Dude, just drop your lil gimmick we know your claims are falsified.

just to upset you, here's the same pic you took, in game settings maxed out, max AA max AF at 1280x960, flashlight on too.

mine is bigger

So that's a higher resolution than your shot and still more fps. I won't name cards, let's just say the price was the same as the x800 pro.

I know which one :-p . Anyway, I would if I had the game. Was that on your own server? All by yourself?

:naughty: What map is that? I'm gonna try that area.

it's in cs_office, the bit to go underneath and behind the offices.

Friend let me use his account to make a server.

1152x864, everything on high, 6xAA 8xAF
cs_office0000.jpg

11524x864, everything on high, no AA or AF
cs_office0001.jpg

Now, I dropped down to your resolution...
1024x768, everything on high, no AA or AF
cs_office0002.jpg

will you guys take screenshots with something actually stressfull going on? i hate to see people staring at walls in empty servers.. why not throw some grenades in crowded areas in office.. then well see "true" fps

p.s. my screen of that same area had 268 fps, with 1024 x 769 6x 8x

.......but when i backed up a little and exposed the corner, it dropped down to 189

It's good to see someone telling the truth :D Now, I just need to get the transaction completed, so that I can play CS:S too. Been waiting since the release date to get the transaction done. Come on Valve!!
