Gaming goodness... just in time to work over all the games from the Steam sale :)

So the sales assistant clearly forgot to mention the whole screen-size-to-viewing-distance ratio I see.

Red-stained wood, black leather and fittings, very shexeh.

Personally I would change the lamp to something from this century but use the same type/colour bulb.

Not bad, sir!

Now we'll need shots a month or two from now to see how it really turns out. :p

I like my new 23", but I would like to play Street Fighter on that oversized monitor.

That AC is going to be blowing directly on you. Bitch you gunna be cold. Also, was that level really necessary? You were expecting the desk to be lopsided out of the box?

But I am jealous. We should have a new "post your desk" thread.

I love getting blasted by A/C! Besides, it's got louvers to direct air wherever so it doesn't have to blow straight out.

I replaced my 37" Westy LVM-37w3 with that 52" Sharp 700UN partly because the Westy seemed a little small after using it for a few years. From about 3 feet away the screen really immerses you in the game or movie you are in. Can't beat having your field of view filled :)

The desk surface has a lifetime warranty and "Diamond-Coat" scratch resistance... whatever that means exactly. But I am grabbing a Steelseries QCK+ mousepad from newegg because my Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 is having a small amount of trouble tracking accurately on it.

Who manufactures the desks, and where did you get them from? Its really nice, and I might be looking for new one soon.

I recommend a 5.1 system to complement that setup.

I was considering doing so... but I really prefer headphones in general. 90% of the time I'll be using cans so I'm having trouble convincing myself it's worth it.

Manufacturer: Bush - Commercial Furniture
Model: Corsa - Auburn Maple Finish

Right L-Bow Desk, Bow Front Desk, & 36" Return/Bridge is what I have.

I have the same chair, a Sealy posturepedic. Would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat, though I do wish the arm rests locked in place.

Nice, you recognized the chair! For anyone wondering, the arms slide both up and down and back and forth. They lock going up and down, but not back and forth. That said, I've not had any issues so far with that, it takes a fair bit of force to slide them back and front and I even tend to brace the back of my arm against the chair back and rest my palm on the edge of the arm...

Op, that floor is sexy. I hope you have a floor mat, otherwise that computer chair is gonna scar the hell out of it.

Isn't sitting so close to your AC unit going to make it a little difficult to hear, or is your window unit really quite?

Also really nice setup.

I am concerned about the floor a bit, there are hardwood casters you can buy to replace the regular ones (which are designed for carpet)... I also saw some really nice bamboo chairmats that match my floor well.

The A/C unit is fairly quiet, and I usually have my Logitech G35 on which are closed headphones and they block ambient noise VERY well. I have the A/C in powersaver which means it runs for a bit to cool them shuts down completely. It's really not a big deal and the A/C is only active in the summer anyway :p

How much do one of those cost? I bought this one from walmart. It looks comfy as hell on the box, but it's making me butthurt. Literally.

I got mine at a local Officemax... they are being clearanced out for $160 at the store so you might be able to get one reasonably cheap if you've got one near you.

This is just asking for a "Post your desk" thread.
