Grades?

For those of you in college or even at the end of a quarter or something in high school...what kind of grades did you get?

I just checked mine and I'm pretty happy- 4 B's and an A

One of the B's was a really hard class (I know a bunch of people that failed or dropped) I never went to..I only showed up for the tests (They had powerpoint presentations online). :thumbs:

I still haven't gotten all my grades back, but I passed english with a C. Which is good for me. All through high school i failed english almost every time (then i would ace it in summer school...which was odd) But i'm happy with my C.

isnt anyone ere from Canada? WE dont use letters, thats messed up. We use number out of 100, like percentages.
I got:
a 92, 90, 88, 78 on my first term. I got my final exams in the last week of January for my first emester. (Im in grade 12)

btw: a mark of lower then 50 is a fail.

What do you mean? Letters rule!

For example, if you have an 89 average its not very likely the teacher/professor will give u a 90. But if you use letters, most will give you an A or an A-.

But with letters, you dont know what you got exactly. You can see how everything adds up and double check your mark with the teacher. I think its much more accurate and just makes more sense. Much like the metric system. When will you Americans learn?

I'm a freshman in *gasp* high school, and I haven't gotten grades yet, but I expect 1-2 A's, 3 B's and maybe a C.

I have 6 periods, not including lunch... booooring.

Thats a 3.28 GPA on a 4 point scale for those who care.
My average GPA for my first degree is 3.25.

I hope well all don't forget that grades are not based on ur intelligence or critical thinking. Hell, your told all your answers and how to get them. They had them to you and say here, how good of a memory do u have? I can't wait for Graduate school, so i can do my own research. High school is pointless for learning. Only for meeting people and doing drugs and getting ur drivers licence.
I would love a school that said here, our problem is that a company out in washington or something is having problems with wireing and grounding for there building. The floor plan is like this, now here is a example of how a complete circuit works. Your mission by the end of the semester is to draw out a plan of where the cabling should go. Make a model and explain to me how to do it at then end of the semester. Also I want ur speech in writing to test ur english skills. The floor dynamics would test mathimatical skills and you have a budget of lets say, $25,000. GO FOR IT!!

Man that would be the shizzle. YOu accualty have to use ur brain!! What a concept!! useing ur brain for thinking, thats a new one. How about that, i am thinking outside the box. No class to go to everyday, no stupid teacher saying here, memorize!! Hell, you could get a sweet rep if u do a great job!


Also, you could pick ur problem. Say they have a wireing problem, a computer glitch, or something like that. Then, real world skills could link with self discovery and discovery of the world around you by urself, in stead of, people are starving in 3rd world countries, memorzie shit till college and in the mean time goverment propaganda like America owns or Join the army. I live in America but we are turning into ****ing drones now days. There used to be no concept of a sterotype, now they are rabid. Why? Because we are getting programed. Once ur done they have to meet certain expectations, like it must calculate 20billion commands in 5 seconds or something. It would be one of the hardest courses but it would prove to people that u know about comps.

I am not say they all have to be computer related, but u can see where i am going. You could specialize, like city planner or banker. People really know about how knowledge can be powerful. Unlike now days when people make up words, like l337 or Fo shizzle. Those aren't EVEN WORDS?!?!? We are so stupid!! TO MUCH POLUTION!! TO MUCH COMMUNISM AHHH RUN COMMUNISM!!!

Lol, you wouldn't have to figure it ALL out on ur own. U just have to DO it on ur own. And make it origional. Like u could ask pentium guy something like, well what materials do u use for such and such and how can i make "insert something". He'll be like well we did such, such ,and such. You go home and be like, so they made it like so on and so fourth, i will base it off that. So u go out and map out how the parts will work and nizzle like that. Next month u got to Ur local compusa and ask, hey billybob, is there somewhere i can get a pmaphlet on how ram works, hell be like sure, go to www.rammonkey.edu You go on there site and be like, OOOOO thats how it works but I want to change this and this so it can be better/more expensive or Say ooooo thats to expensive, so ill change/x/y/z to make it cheaper.

See what i am getting at? Your not thrown the answers ur handed knowledge and build either on it or expand what is already at hand. Not memorize like a drone. We have books and comps to memorize useless facts for us. WE are the imagination of the universe, lets use that to our advantage.

If you thing Highschool is BS , youre obviously still in Highschool which reenders most of your opinions void. You would be right , if you didnt say that highschool was the uneeded part of education and have such a HUGE (and overinflated) ego , youd be correct. Highschool is basic knowledge , it is needed to do anything. Without it , hell you may be able to build that processor or whatever. I dont think my opinions are void, just because of my inexperiance, I am saying that things could be so much better differently. Technology is there to makes thing better, we need to make changes for these advances and we need the advances to be part of the education. Yet they aren't. :/ We learn century old concepts and useless knowledge.
