But it's worse when they die in useless, avoidable wars.

I smell a troll

Badass explanatory graph is badass. I pity the "blue" people who died from decapitation and toture.

Stairs are more efficient. BUT WHY, PEOPLE, WHY WON'T YOU USE THEM?!

AJ RIMMER THERE'S NO POST FOR TWO HOURS AND YOU HAVE TO POST THE SAME TIME AS ME WTFOMG

Hehe, pwned.

Hey, I have an idea for a morbid game- the one with the most people dead on their birthday wins!

Only three people on my birthday. :(

But they were American... so... bonus points?

8. If i'd been born 2 days earlier it'd be 32 :O

I got 14 security forces car bombed, one shot and 4 US troops blown up.

RIP heros.

assuming your being sarcastic with the term heroes...blame the government, not the soldiers

I don't want to speak for him but I don't think he was being sarcastic.

its sorta like saying "good game winners" after beating someone in a game...thats the way i read it anyway

well at some point the soldiers have to take some responsibility for their actions ..from many of the accounts I've read/seen many see iraqis as subhuman

anyways I wonder what a chart of civilian deaths would look like? you'd probably need a piece of paper large enough to park a truck on in order to fit every civilian death

the majority don't see Iraqis as sub humans.

you've asked them? ...most soldiers (84%) stationed in iraq think saddam was behind 9/11 ..there has to be a percentage looking for payback ..and I didnt quantify that statement in any way

What does have to with what I just mentioned?
I know atleast 8 people that where in Afganistan and Iraq not a single one thinks bad of Iraqi civilians. Marines and army personnel
are just sick of being bombed every few miles on the road and the lack of appreciation they get. Of course they are crazy people that only want to rape and kill but the MAJORITY just want the Iraqis to stop fighting so that they can leave.

wtf do they expect? the war is/was illegal ..THEY are the cause of all this for without the lies of bush they wouldnt be where they are now

they're not going to, so they'd better get used to it ..the US caused this mess, deal with it

if I pull a single rock from a rock dam and it wipes out a nearby village ..I caused their deaths, the rock initiated their deaths

been watching too many bugs bunny cartoons lately

but if you plug a damn with that same rock, you save a village...

woah, am i a Buddhist?

Rocks aren't capable of rational thought or moral decisions.

As boneheaded and far-reaching in consequences the invasion of Iraq was, many civilian casualties are not at the hands of Coalition soldiers, but insurgent martyrdom. How noble you think their intentions of driving the US out of the area are is irrelevant. As a force that has deliberately targeted and slaughtered civilians on a regular basis, they bear a large amount of the blame for this quagmire as well.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I've completely reversed my opinions with regards to Iraq and believe it to have been a just and heroic enterprise.

I have the most absolute respect for those who fight there on the side of freedom and democracy.

You're right...I now hold a grudge with every US soldier who has had to leave their families and loved ones to fight in a war they didn't even want to be a part of. Those bastards...

I suppose its their fault for not going AWOL to Canada, but then Canadians would be mad about the sudden influx of United States Refugees.

LOL Solaris

I got three Iraqi soldiers, one yank and one cop.

i got 5 Iraqi police officers.....killed by their friends most likely

regardless of sentience the rock was the catalyst

not once have I ever given an opinion either way. I've certainly never said they were noble or alluded to anything of the sort ..you see what you want to see

and regardless of who is pulling the trigger, none of this would have happened without the invasion ..now dont put words in my mouth saying I'm putting the blame squarely on the americans, that is obivously not the case (at least to me it isnt)

We are not to blame for what has happened, the insurgency and religious militia's and groups such as Al-Quaeda are.

The only ethical course of action to take was to free the people of Iraq; we did that, set up a democracy, held elections and now the Iraqi people have a government of their choice. The right to vote in a parliamentary democracy is the least any people should be entitled to. As a socialist I believe in complete socialist democracy but what we created in Iraq was a good step none the less.

We did what we had to do but some religious nutters did not like it, Al-queida came in and helped fuel a religious and sectarian war. Now different Religious militias are trying to create their own totalitarian islamafacist state, no doubt if either of them wins ethnic cleansing and genocide will be a reality that will make the current conflict look measure in comparison.

We must fight these Islamists else they will spread, to Afganistan, Pakistan who knows where else next? They want nothing less than complete control we must not let them win.

We are fighting a different fight than we intended to, but it is a just and nessecary one none the less.

i thought you were being sarcastic
