graph of casualties in iraq

Ohhh there we go, anyway there was only 1 non-hostile/accidental/suicide of an american on my birthday, I lose.

We are not to blame for what has happened, the insurgency and religious militia's and groups such as Al-Quaeda are.

The only ethical course of action to take was to free the people of Iraq; we did that, set up a democracy, held elections and now the Iraqi people have a government of their choice. The right to vote in a parliamentary democracy is the least any people should be entitled to. As a socialist I believe in complete socialist democracy but what we created in Iraq was a good step none the less.

We did what we had to do but some religious nutters did not like it, Al-queida came in and helped fuel a religious and sectarian war. Now different Religious militias are trying to create their own totalitarian islamafacist state, no doubt if either of them wins ethnic cleansing and genocide will be a reality that will make the current conflict look measure in comparison.

We must fight these Islamists else they will spread, to Afganistan, Pakistan who knows where else next? They want nothing less than complete control we must not let them win.

We are fighting a different fight than we intended to, but it is a just and nessecary one none the less.

I see they've gotten to you

boy that's a big change from back in the day when you justified the firing upon of medical evac personel by insurgents because they were invaders on the insurgents home turf

Generally US foreign policy is wholly immoral and disgusting to me. I have my doubts why they are in Iraq but I think they are right on this one.

I'm not that certain though, I'm testing out ideas, I've been become more and more swayed by the writings of Christopher Hitchens an ex socialist on the matter and have to agree with him at the moment. It's such an important issue that I must put reason above all else, If I am wrong I want to know so I can change my opinion.

So let me get this straight. It's not that you just support the US in Iraq
simply because the alternative is so much worse,
despite being against the Invasion initially.
It's that you fully support the original Invasion of Iraq.

regardless of sentience the rock was the catalyst

not once have I ever given an opinion either way. I've certainly never said they were noble or alluded to anything of the sort ..you see what you want to see

and regardless of who is pulling the trigger, none of this would have happened without the invasion ..now dont put words in my mouth saying I'm putting the blame squarely on the americans, that is obivously not the case (at least to me it isnt)

A lack of clarity on my end. I didn't mean you specifically about those things, I just brought them up in the expectation of other responders, as they are common.

Hey, it's only Muslims (Iraqi's) and Christians (Soldiers) dying in Iraq. So what's the big loss here?

At the risk of this turning into a religious debate let's move on

Debating over differing religions qualities is like arguing for one brand of toothpick for another. :| I agree, we move on.

Lo all, just putting in a brief appearence to say ...
.... I've been become more and more swayed by the writings of Christopher Hitchens ...
...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!

June 14.

1 American shot, 5 Americans blown up, 1 American suicide, 2 police officers shot, 14 Iraqi soldiers unknown deaths, and 4 Iraqi soldiers blown up.

I think I'm winning so far.
