By which I mean the console versions of Episode 1 and HL2.

The next-gen console version will have every episode in one big bundle when it is finally released. As seen in the newest trailer, the vortigaunts (at least) have been given a graphical upgrade, and it would be weird for console users to go from low-end (by the time it is released) models to high. I don't mean implementing HDR in vanilla HL2 for the consoles, or anything like that. I just mean upgrading the models and textures a bit. Do you think it's possible?

valve mostly puts most of there market on pc not shitty console. it such a waste to do something different and a waste of time to make a game for console which pc can do the same.

I could imagine the response if the Xbox version was directly ported to the 360. :|

I would guess that any major additions/improvements would be for the PC as well.

It's not a waste if your a console gamer and you can't afford a good enough PC to play Half-Life 2.

If they do upgrade HL2 with HDR for consoles, no doubt that will get back-ported to the PC so we can take advantage of it.

Well, if you'll remember, consoles like the PlayStation 1 didn't even have 3D games for it when it first came out (or very few shitty ones), but right before it died, most of its games were very much improved in graphics. It's been the same with every game console. In about a year or two, the 360's games will have significantly more highly-detailed graphics than the 360 games out now.

Yes, Episode 2 is going to be released on Xbox 360 on the same day as the PC. But the Xbox 360 version of Episode 2 comes with Episode 1, Half Life 2, and of course Portal and TF2 like the PC.

Half Life 2 and Episode 1 that will be included with Episode 2 on the 360 will have updated graphics, so that things like textures and models will be up to the Episode 2 bar. I'm not sure if this includes adding HDR to the original HL2 game, so we'll have to wait and see on that. If they DO add HDR to the original Half Life 2 to up the visual quality on a next-gen console, I would think that they would also put the HDR enabled maps up for download so that PC users could replace the originals in HL2 for PC.
