Gravity 3D - Galaxy Collision Simulation - MUST SEE

Well analytical solutions cannot solve 3 gravitational bodies interactions with each other so the numerical solutions of galaxies of billions of stars must be grossly inaccurate.

Naaaaaaaaaaaah, it's some numerical solution of the many-body sum of that equation. They don't actually use that equation like they say.

Although I look forward to seeing it soon when I can be bothered to download it soon (I'm drunk and my computer cannot get internet connection ;()

Said the man posting on the internet...

1 year bump for great justice!

lol

I was just messing this this program again today. Still fun.

Heh, forgot about this program. It's still pretty cool.

how do i stop it from zoning in? i cant see shit at the end.

2 4,000,000 galaxies colliding. insane.

I also did 12 450,000 galaxies colliding.

Yeah this program is still fun, i've just made a smiley face!

A7N8X Deluxe
Athlon XP2800+
2 x 512mb 333mhz dual-BW
ATI X800 XT Platinum

Old system but that program runs fine with all settings on in 16:9 with up to 300,000 stars.

oldy and moldy thread D:

anyways, doesn't even look like they've updated the program since then lawl

Nice, I missed this thread originally. Where does it save the screenshots?

Man I was looking for this again but wasn't able to find it!

THANKS!

Man... I ran it like 3 times, and now for some reason it constantly crashes. Argh.

Just checking to see if you still had me on your ignore list. ;)

I do, I just thought you might have actually answered my question, so I took a gander. Its kind of annoying though, I think i'll take you off it.

Also, it saves the screenshots in the folder you copied the files into. I just ran it from the .rar file so it didnt save the first ones I took.

Glad you still like me then. Welcome aboard the S.S. Bullshit!

But you have to admit, I have the best line in bullshit ever. <(I'd give a dollar to the first person to name the game and character I quoted this from.)

OP-Sorry for derailing. Let's talk about the galaxy collider simulator now.
Wish I could view/download it. :(

haha, I love 3 year old threads; I remember when this was first made even :p

I was drunk on the internet? This is definately an old thread.

Also, didn't WhiteZero get kidnapped by the feds? (or it may have been mr white).

A million times better, shame it's only a 60 minute trial. Still fun though, has pre-loaded maps like Death Star orbiting Endor (was that the planet?), has milky way and Andromeda colliding, solar system, etc; etc.

Oh shit, that's amazing! I'm going to check it out more tomorrow when I have time... but initial impressions are cool! I just watched the Youtube video, and that's it.

It needs a new thread of its own!

White Zero bumped this thread twice over a three year period. I don't know what to make of that.

also, I clicked on the original link and it didn't work. Surpising?

This is cool.

And also from 2005? Wut?

Oooh, awesome. Missed this thread before (started reading as a new thread, then realised it's 3 years old).

Damn straight! My threads age like fine wine. :naughty:
And I would have edited my OP but it wont let me, so my rez post has the current link.

Holly sh1t! That looks sweet! I've been looking for a better version of the app that I posted this thread about. I'll have to check that out when I get home from work.
Also, I see you can set your own price if you want to buy it. Might be worth $20.
You linking that app makes me so glad I rezed this thread. ^^

And it looks like the FAQ for Universe Sandbox has links to other cool related apps: http://universesandbox.com/about/faq.htm

So since this is a crazy bump does anyone have the program so they can upload it? The link is dead.
