Gravity Gun

This is to everybody that has seen that video of the guy who beats half life 2 in under 3 hours. Does anybody know how that guy uses the gravity gun to propel himself off of objects? If you could tell me, I would appreciate it.

welll he just used exploits to run over buildings and stuff like that and he planned it out for a long time
