Same guy from the documentary "In Pot We Trust"

Wow that guy really hit the nail on the head. He does a great job in pointing our that cannabis is not the demon drug the government makes it out to be but is in fact one of the most harmless drugs known to mankind.

One thing I wish he would have pointed out is that making it legal would make cannabis safer. Making it more potent so you don't need to smoke as much as well as making vaporizers cheaper and better. Now to mention the economical benefits from tax and hemp.

Well this was just for the legalization in Michigan, so arguing for the legalization of marijuana would of really sidetracked his purpose....although I do agree

I agree completely with this guy, and also Glirk's secondary statement.
I've never smoked any drugs in my life, and I agree that legalising cannabis is the best thing the government could do right about now, since they're doing everything else wrong.

Well, Amsterdam has it nailed.

The whole of the Netherlands actually. There is medical marihuana over here. There was a time when the government hired a company to grow it, but that was low quality stuff. So now you can buy it in a coffeeshop (that's what pot bars are called) and get the money back from your medical insurance. I am not sure though if all companies cover it, but most do.

Man, it's really nice to hear that at least somebody, somewhere is doing it right.
Good video, very informative. One thing, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:World-cannabis-laws.png
Surely one could get medical care in another state with marjiauna where its legal.
Decriminalization and legalization are very different entities. Notice that North Carolina is light blue (meaning decriminalized) but I can still get a ticket and a lot of shit for possession of any quantity of marijuana. There is still hefty persecution.

Great find, Tyguy

great stuff. its really just a matter of time until its globally accepted, the difference from charlie, central stimulants and opiates is vast. less dangerous than alcohol and nicotine. easy skankin compadres!

I have a hard time trying to find videos against medicinal marijuana. Anyone have some links?

excuse me while I light my spliff
oh jah I got to take a lift
from reality I just can't drift

Am I the only person against recreational drugs?

That's irrelevant. We are talking about medicinal marijuana.

But id say your in the minority when it comes to recreational marijuana use

Oh man, I love how people twist the potency of marijuana.

"Did you know? Marijuana is a bajillion times more potent than it was in the 70s? MY GOD WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE."

It's like they equate "potent" with "deadly".

I wish people would stop repeating this shite. There are a great many people who have been quite profoundly affected (adversely) by cannabis use.

Regular use of cannabis can **** you up.

Cannabis is not 'one of the most harmless drugs known to mankind'.

Are you going to back any of that up?

You can also die from drinking too much water.

OMFG BAN WATER

A challenger appears.

Please either support or rescind your statements.

Oh lawd, do I smell another drug debate?

Ten bucks to whoever predicts the victor.

Ten bucks says the "drugz r baad" ignores all logic.

Just leave it to our friends on the religious right (CDA, CU) to cast us back many years in our progressive thinking.

Its kind of weird when he says he hasn't gotten high off of it. He said that even when he was younger and smoking it with his friends (all of whom got high), he didn't feel high.

I would consider that a unique case. Although one could argue that amount (and strength) of the cannabis the government prescribes him is not enough to get you high, you can't deny the fact that he should have gotten high in the years he was using it illegally.

Maybe he just doesn't inhale correctly..

His body may have just built up a tolerance to all the morphine and the like that he didn't feel the "high" that most feel, but it relieved his pain.

It may be because of his disease that makes him lack a certain substance, that while it would get anyone high (possibly from gaining an increase in said substance) only just brings him up to what normal people would feel on a regular basis.

So what I'm saying is maybe the cannabis is treating him like one would treat a vitamin deficiency.

if theres gonna be a debate, ten on the opposition cus im not gonna waste valuable blazing time arguing with nitwits :) peace

If you know anything about marijuana...the only damage it does is to your lung from inhaling it. By making it more potent you wouldn't need to smoke as much to get high. I am not sure where you think I ever said that potency = deadly.

I don't think he was responding to your comments, just commenting further.

He was just commenting on that because you used the word "potent", he wasn't attacking you.

Yeah, too bad the Dutch Bible Belt is in government atm.

Not related to weed, but:

Can you believe those fuckers are part of our government? They complain about a gay porn channel on cable, which you have to voluntarily pay for to even receive. Can't they just fuck off and die and keep their petty medieval moralist bullshit to themselves? That goes for drugs too, fucking self-righteous Christians.

Err... I know all that. I wasn't accusing you of anything. Merely commenting in reference to those who do think potency equates to deadliness. :P
