I dunno if its been discussed before, but I have to rave about these guys. There big over in Europe and England and now there comin to the U.S. Its just really ACDC type rock and roll. Gets your feet bangin, and your head moving. The singers voice is a little wacky sometimes but you get used to it. The lead guitarist is really amazing though!

Tracks I recommend.

1: I believe in a thing called love
2: Black Shuck
3: Friday Night
4: Growing on Me
5: Holding my Own

Check them out, really good sound. We need more rock and roll these days. You wont regret listening to them.

Adios.

heheh, funny this...

They have been popular in the UK for a fair while now :)

And yes, the lead singer is odd.....

They're awful. I just cannot stand the lead's voice, ugh.

I love queen-esq music... mmmm

And yeah they're not new, they've won awards and everything :cheese:

Oh my god! I can't stand them! They're like a gayer version of Queen.

How can you get gayer than gay huh?

It's all good

I think some people hate them more becuase of there image than there music.

Hehe, I love 'em!
I believe in a thing called love is teh roXor! :D :p

No they're not new. Yes they are great.
Dont let the bells stop!

Disclaimer: I'm not using the word "gay" in a derogatory fasion at all. I don't mean that since they're gayer than Queen, they are necessarily worse than them. I just ment that The Darkness makes Queen look like a bunch of titty-lovin' tough guys.

"I Believe in a Thing Called Love" was so crap it was good :p

I only meant they were new to the U.S for the most part. There all talented musicians, and there making fun rock and roll music. Thats just so great. Considering all this depressing emo, punk, shit ass music thats been coming out lately. I love deeez guys!

The Darkness rock!!! My mum saw them at the Isle of Wight Festival but unfortunately I did not go. They've got star quality as my mum mentions in every single conversation about them.

ok

The darkness is okay but go buy korn's latest cd "take a look in the mirror"

Space Hunter

Godam music hype machine.

Theyre music is queen wannabe, theyve plugged into the formula that camp rock is popular and will make you a truck load of money.

I believe in a thing called love was nothing special, the main singer is ugly and annoying and to top it off there new single is craptastic.

Seriously, worst.band.ever

H34D crAb n00b!1!/1!1?1?!!?!//1?24!@34?23?? QRE?csA?WF$?YwRES

j/k... we've all been there.... 'cept munro

bah - it's just music for a laugh, not meant to be taken seriously.

Get drunk and stagger about, maybe dance while pointing to the floor :)

Wow! WTF does a musicians looks have to do with anything. You must know nothing about music!! Was Jimi Hendrix good looking, RObert Plant, Jimi Page? Roger Waters, David Gilmour, David Bowey, Maynard James Keenan, Pete Townsend!? God damn. It's never about the looks, its what music they make. Idiot. Stab yourself in the heart.

No need for that flame razor...

I like the Darkness personally... haven't heard the new single though... oh well, sure I will :)

I heard from some show that this band, The Darkness, is trying to bring back 80's big hair glam rock.

So I say....SHOOT THE BASTARDS BEFORE THEY CROSS THY HERE BORDERS YOU USELESS SCALLIWAGS!!!!

I am one of the few that is grateful for the death of glam metal, now these retards want to bring it back.

its not glam rock. they dont do the big hair thing. There song Black Shuck is alot like ACDC's stuff. Was ACDC glam rock? No...
If the songs are catchy, and the music is fun, and they enjoy what there doing , I support them fully.

I heard someone read off a quote from one of the guys in the band and he said something along the lines of "Bringing back big hair rock."

i listened to them in the European MTV VMA´s and i couldn´t stand it.
They´re not awful but they aren´t good neither

When I heard the song "I believe in a thing called love" I liked it :) I thought it was just some band taking the piss and making quite a catchy tune. I didn't realise the lead singers voice was like that all the time :p I'm not too keen on any of their other songs at all..

listen to black shuck. you might like it. thats heavy, and Love on the Rocks is pretty heavy too. I dont care what you jiberoo's say. I like em!!! :bounce:

I love them, it's just catchy AC DC/Queen overblown rock and roll. I always expected a lot of people to hate them, just as I expected a lot of people to love them. It's good to finally see (talented) British rock bands actually make it big over in America in recent years. Finally, you're all listening to what WE have to offer! :p

Other brilliant British bands for your digestion:

Sikth
Very, very, very hyperactive, spontaneous, bipolar extreme metal. Jumps from one side of the room to the next in an instant. Possibly the best recent metal act in the country.

The Cooper Temple Clause
One word: mindf*ck.

The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster
Dirty, Sleazy garage rock. Not another White Stripes rip off.

Funeral For A Friend
Iron Maiden-influenced Emo-Metal.

Idlewild
A very fine indie-rock band.

Muse
I'm really suprised this band hasn't blown up in the states. You may have heard of them as Radiohead rip-offs, which is 100% false. Huge, pretentious post-modernistic rock.

Hell is For Heroes
More emo-rock. But it's still good! :)

Oceansize
Huge, epic, swirling space-rock. Manchester's finest.

Amplifier
Same as above, but darker.

Ashhttp://www.ash-official.com/
Pop-rock at it's best.

Raging Speedhorn
Heavy, heavy, HEAVY metal. Music to get pissed and pick a fight to.

Feeder
More pop-rock.

The best band in your selection....
