i was just visiting the counter-strike source forums, and i see alot of complaining going on.

do you think that counter-strike source gameplay has the same affect as half-life2 gameplay?

i mean if you think about it. counter-strike source was made to test the source engine, but then again it was tuned for multiplayer. so the physics aren't as spiffy as they should be like in half-life 2. what do you think dudes?

[edit] i remember one complaint was that you couldn't jump on barrels.. but i remember in the half life 2 video the guy jumped on a barrel, then jumped off. correct me if i'm wrong...

Good question. However some of the issues with the physics in CS:S are due to it being an online game,. things bounce because the server has to sync up object reactions for everyone. I believe the physics will be much more natural in HL2.

I've been wondering myself about the preformance. Is the preformance we get in CS:S a good measuring stick for HL2? Can I expect the same FPS, or are there significantly higher poly counts in HL2?

yeah bro, i have the best alienware laptop (area-51 1gig ram etc. etc.) i believe, and it started slowing down with doom3 and far cry!
