sweet god you people look way too far into things.

Its a guys name for christ sake, i know plenty of russians in films/books etc... that have been called grigori.... that does not mean they are freaking guardian angels.

In general I would agree with you, but we all know that Valve generally chooses names (characters or scenarios) with some sort of meaning.
