GTA on PSP

yeah just heard about this...HOW COOL IS THAT!? :D

Lets just hope it lives upto its name :)

edit:

Rockstar's announcement also revealed that both games "are expected to be available near the launch of the PSP handheld system in North America and Europe." According to statements made by Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Ken Kutaragi last week, the US launch of the PSP "will probably be March."

So its nearly done? :O

Am I the only person who thinks that GTA is getting a little too same old same old? Don't get me wrong, I own all the GTA games except San Andreas (I even own the Vice City soundtrack set). But I really think the series is getting boring.

Ya it isnt as fresh as it used to be I had the most fun with #3 and after that I have played and owned the sequels but they arent the same

yep GTA is getting old but im still getting a PSP, I love my DS at the moment and I cant wait to get a PSP. Oh its fun times.

Haha, I was expecting instant flameage after that post. Nice to know people can be trusted after all.
What game/games do you have on that DS blackeye? I have Mario 64 and I love it even more than the original.

As long as you get to kill hookers and steal cars, people will eat it up

That's sure to sell by the truck load :)

Not really a 'handheld game' imo - but i'msure it'll be good.

(Metal Gear Acid excites me alot more)

I'm desperately wanting Castlevania for the DS. I *adore* Castlevania, and a direct sequel to Aria of Sorrow (right up there with Symphony of the Night imo) is enough for me to cream.

I dont have any DS games at the moment except the metroid demo. I would like to get mario 64 but Im am going to wait untill I get a screen protector so I dont scratch. I love the mertroid demo though.

Im looking forward to
Animal crossing (yes I know)
Wario Ware
Mario kart
The zelda games
FF:chronicles
Bomberman
Advanced Wars DS.
Yoshi touchngo

Im also looking forward to the PSP just for metal Gear solid acid. I dont care whether the psp can play videos or music all I care about is the games and metal gear solid is the one title so far that is going to sell me the PSP. Howevor because I never owned a GTA I may buy this one, depending on how well of reviews it gets. Usually I just rented GTA for my xbox because I would get bored of it in one week.

It's been more like expansion packs since GTA3, but that was to be expected really and now they have covered all the cities (well apart from London and wherever GTA2 was set) it will be interesting as to where they are going to take the title next if anywhere at all.

how much is the PSP?
There is no confirmed set price as of now in both the UK and US, but....

The price is going to be right. In Japan, the cost of a PSP is $186 US once you make the conversion. It is very possible, in fact it is probable, that the PSP will launch in the US at $150 for the basic unit, and maybe $200 for the expanded Value Pack (includes a memory card, a strap, and a carry-pouch). Sony is looking to put a serious dent on the Nintendo handheld market and if they can match the price of it here, while at the same time offering all sorts of multimedia capabilities and a big leap in graphics, then it will do just that. Competition is always a good thing though, since this will get Nintendo thinking more about what they can produce to match. There could be a price cut on Nintendo’s part, or there could be bundles offered. Is it any coincidence that the DS Metroid game is also set to be released in March?

I agree with you Psychanalysis05%. The third one blew me away, but the sequels have become a little bit underwhelming, tacking on extra vehicles and minigames without expanding the series much. Don't get me wrong, they're all a blast to play but I'm just hoping Rockstar North will really take their time and make a game for the next-gen consoles that blows me away as much as GTA 3 did a few years ago.
