Its off the Play magazine, which these scans came a week eariler. They're also on GTAGaming.com. The monster truck, ATV, harvester look ace. The mountain is gonna be cool.

For anyone who doesn't know why there is countryside, I'll explain why. In GTA 3 and Vice City, islands were seperated by vast amounts of water and connected with bridges. In San Andreas, the islands are connected with country-sides, deserts, mountains, rivers etc. The deserts won't be bland either, like the beaches in Vice City - they be detailed and full of things to do. The country side will have rivers, tall trees, and a friend who is hiding out in one of the two villiages in the country side.

This game is going to make me do a 360 degree spin of enjoyment.

Very cool how you can drive the crop pickerup tractor thingie, cannot wait to try and run people over with it.

GTA: SA will totally own! :D

I'm waiting for the PC version, probably going to be released in Spring 2005

nice screens...

/me starts the 2 year wait for a PC release.

I hope they don't forget to add MP this time around :)

Doesn't Sony own an exclusive contract when it comes to the GTA series (i.e. they get it first). If this is indeed the case I doubt very much they'll introduce MP considering Sony doesn't have something as popular as X-Box Live and the game won't be out for AAAAAAAGES on PC.

No multiplayer.

Yeah, they do have a contract with Sony. At the moment its PS2 exclusive and will be later ported to other PC and X-Box, supposedly that is.

It looks amazing but I fear they might have been a little too detailed. Whilst it's realistic for someone to get fat if they do no exercise and eat fast food, and it's certainly an amusing idea for a game, but I don't really want to have to spend that much time maintaining my character in that way. After all, this is GTA, not The Sims.

And in terms of the PC port - I imagine it'll be the same length of time as it was with Vice City and GTA3 which was about six months.

No multiplayer? well that's just fantastic...

It would just take 'em a few extra months to add it on the PC port. Bunch of lazy bastards!

I don't think it's a matter of laziness, rather a matter of practicality and entertainment. Think about how vast San Andreas is promised to be, even with 32 players you're going to have trouble finding one another (especially when one considers how many different modes of transport there are - some players in boats would be nowhere near to being able to kill players in planes/helicopters for example) and if the arena was restricted, it'd be somewhat against the free-form ethos of the series. Secondly, the lag that could be caused by the size of maps and the bustle that happens within them would make sad pandas of many us. And if you got rid of the city's activity and inhabitants, then where's the fun in that? You'd be playing in a ghost town...
<Goes to listen to Ghost Town by The Specials>

Or you could just play multiplayer using Multi Theft Auto

Yeah but it's laggy and doesn't have any pedestrians in it. I wanted something more sophisticated out of GTA MP.
