Anyone have tried it?
If you have can you please post how many times better then GTA:Vice City you think it is!!!

I personally hate it.
No rock stations being my number one reason.
The other because you can't change what race you can be.
And you have to listen to their annoying "hood-talk".
But, If you don't mind all that...knock yourself out.

ITS ****ING AWSOME,
you can stand in the midle of the road and create a chain crash between cars HAHAH gotta love it

I get confused because I don't speak ebonics, but there is a good graphical imporvement and many positive gameplay alterations to the first. If you can get into the story, and liked the original, you probably won't be dissapointed.

I love it. I think its an amazing improvement over GTA: Vice City. It doesn't radically change the gameplay of the others, but it does more to perfect it and add new, interesting bits to it. The series already has a great premise, and San Andreas improves it quite nicely.

There are rock stations, theres that classic rock station and "Radio X" which has Rage Against The Machine and other bands. I'm not fussed about the race, but the "hood-talk" did my head in though. Every sentence it's "Yo motherf**ker" or "I'm down with that n*****" and it really becomes annoying. Once you get past the "hood" bit in the beginning (and end) the game is really great, besides all the new features plus it looks alot better make it a great game. Not to mention it's HUUGE!!

At first I wasn't impressed with the music either, but I think I liked more songs from San Andreas than Vice City.

K-dst and Radio X were my favorite

Did you have a problem with that when you could only be white?

I don't know why people have a problem with it. I didn't mind that my character was black.

I admit, I'm a bit on the racist side, But lets not get into that.
I hated the game just for the hood-talk.
I still like Vice City better.

If Vice City was that big, with all the features and refinements, it'd be brilliant. I loved the atmosphere in VC, y'know? The radio was awful on SA too. None of those classic talk show moments of VC :(.

The soundtrack was better in Vice City...but SA have some good stuff too..specially on K-DST...

san andreas is better then vice city. Only sometimes the "hood" talking is a bit hard to follow. :)

Yeah, once you get out of Los Santos and into the other cities the game really picks up, it becomes more like GTA III and GTA:Vice City with crazy missions. It kinda lapses back into the old "hood" missions towards the end, but the majority of the game is great!

I never care that the character was black
but IMO the idea to be able to choose your race, sex, and all that stuff could be good, maybe in a next GTA we will see that

If there is another GTA, i thought they said they are not having any more?

Can we say "cash cow" anyone?

They better do London; show The Getaway how it's done.

Either that or Gangsters in Chicago during prohibition :D .

London would also be good.
I liked the 60's London theme though. They could do an Evil Genius and make it a little crazy with orange jumpsuits, coupled with blue sub-machine guns and builders helmets.

I suppose after San Andreas they would have to make it bigger than one city.

Yeah, and "old" themed version would be pretty cool, or very boring, one of two. They'd have to cut down the number and the speed of the vehicles and they probably couldn't have planes. I like the idea of a London based one.

Were you upset that you couldn't change your race in the other GTA games?

Nah - it wouldn't be so good. Slow cars isn't what GTA is all about. Besides, there's always Mafia for that sort of thing.

I really wanted GTA:SA to be set in the '70s. The style of it all would've been great, the soundtrack would've been f*cking awesome and the story could've been like some spoofed cliched Blaxploitation movie stylee. Ah, it would've been great.

Mafia kicked ass at that (pc version)

Id say 70's is the next move... think of how many huggy bear references ther would be :D.

or yeah go down the "backxploytation" route

"black to the future"
"sweet seymores baaaaadddaaasssssss song"

I like that you are black in this GTA:San Andreas game and i would have liked to be it in GTA:Vice city too!!!!

That would be like playing the Sims.... [shudder]

GTA: Unleashed. :P

I don't really see why people care what race they played in any of the games. Oh, I think a natural evolution of the game would be a medium sized nation :o

Your an idiot.

I personally enjoyed the game. I'm still playing it and only 40% through. I'd really recommend it.

They have to do "hood talk" because that's where the game kinda takes place. It has to capture the realism with the sense of surroundings and the player. If it was a bunch of black people in the ghetto pronouncing there E's and R's (Undercover Brother, great movie) then the game would seem REALLY fake. In GTA3, GTA:VC...the characters spoke how a person would. Hispanics with the accent, italians with the italian accent...etc.
