GTA IV's 15 (yes - fifteen) multiplayer modes have been revealed, in Spain's edition of PSM3 Magazine.

Online multiplayer is accessed through Niko's mobile in the single-player game, where you can join up to 15 other players for shootouts and customise your character, right down to his or her race, hair and clothing.

my game playing friends dont have consoles ..they just use mine, so we're always looking for offline co-op games
 
I hope they put loads of effort into each and every gametype and not just ship it with some half arsed, rubbish to play game modes.

Sounds awesome though. This pretty much assures that the combat is going to be really well polished if they're prepared to make as team deathmatch MP game out of it. Unless, as I said, it comes out half arsed...

Month and a half to go...god this is going to be up there with the biggest gaming moments in history for sure.

I can't think of the last time I was this excited by a game coming out. I forgot what that felt like.

I agree, there are far too few games nowadays that have conventional MP and co-op on the same screen as one another.

get a ps3 and you won't have to pay a monthly fee to play... just saying....

360's internet service is FAR superior to the PS3.

360 it shall be for everyone on this forum.

So much potential, I hope they don't mess it up. Cops N Crooks could be AMAZING fun if done right. Imagine setting up SWAT team road blocks, or coordinating a sniper on a rooftop to make the hit, or - and this makes me giddy - tailing them in a civilian car, all DI like, feeding information to the rest of your officers (friends) up ahead, biding your time to pounce.

Holy shit I can't wait.

I'm so pretending to be Gene Hunt if I play as police. Yes, awesome.

That's not what people were saying over Christmas...:p Even without that I don't understand how exactly it is that much better than the PS3's online service. I can download games, demos, trailers, chat with friends, play online with friends. Where are the big points of difference?? The main reason I don't go online with my 360 is that it does not have wireless and I will be damned if I spend extra money for a peripheral that comes built-into the PS3.

Not me friend. I never really cared about the missions that much in any of the GTA games so extra ones are not a real draw. I would rather save my digital downloading bucks for things like Commando 3 and Bionic Commando Rearmed.
 
Where does it say what the 15th mode is?

Also, where does it say there's actually co-op?

Sounds good to me so far.

Awesome in theory, but remember, unless you're playing with a bunch of friends / clanmates, this ain't happening.

What's more likely is a bunch of tards are just each going to go their own way and try to rack up the most kills by themselves. In other words, teamwork does not exist in public games*.

*Figure accurate to 99.999999999999999901%
 
The only thing I care about is being able to have my friend with me, or several friends with me in a city populated with the same pedestrians and traffic that the singleplayer has?

Will it be like this?

I will be oh so happy if it is. I want to be able to just free roam through a full(NOT EMPTY) city with my buddy and pull heists together.

I love the unrealistic but incredibly fun car dynamics in the 3D GTA games thus far. It's so much fun.
 
Will it allow split-screen so friends can play with you online or just against each other?

Well, I'll be playing with my close friends on my team so if the randomly matched players on the ther want to **** about that's fine by me, makes it all but easier to catch a badly organised crook. :D

Will be buying PC version. Hell, I might even buy 2 so I can get my friends addicted.
 
PC Version is the way to go.
