I encourage you all to download this and play with me, for all you that dont know Guild Wars is a game made by Arena Net which was the resault of the original creators of Blizzards Battle.net service quitting to make there own online service and game developeing company... they decided to make Guild Wars with NO monthly cost! the screenshots seem amazeing and so do the missions and gameplay some of the founders feats include parts of Warcraft and Diablo I, II as well as several other award winning Blizzard titles

snatch up the e3 for everyone client here: http://www.guildwars.com/e3-2004/e3-event_client-download.html

note: you can make your account now, but cant play until E3 begins 12:01AM Pacific on May 12th

I got it with the Pc Gamer this month, i downloaded it and set up a account, cant wait to play.

I'm doing it, the game looks cool \o/

If that's in-game then the graphics are a hell of a lot better than I was expecting.

*goes to download*

I'm going to try and get the name Soundwave in-game so if you guys wanna meet up come gametime let me know.

So this is a totally free online game then? And an RPG?

Hows it gonna do on a 56k modem, though?

Oh yeah, this is cool. I've never played an MMORPG because of stupid online fees. We should choose a location where all of us hl2.net members can meet.

We’ve eliminated frustrating elements such as spawn camping, kill stealing, endless traveling and treadmill gaming
:O :bounce:

I hope this game is good.

Is that really ingame?

From the FAQ:

Are your in-game screenshots altered in any way? Do you rework them in an art program before adding them to the site?

No, our Screenshots Section includes only totally unaltered in-game images. We use a distinctive glow technology that gives a fantastical appearance to the game. All the in-game screenshots that are in our Gallery are completely unaltered, and come straight from the game to you.

:imu:

This is almost too good to be true, wonder if theres a catch? Ohwell lemming time couldnt care less if they sell my list of websites most recently visited to the CoCa Cola Corp.

More Importantly:What are the Specs?EDIT: found them. Not too bad I might add for those screenshots.

Is it just for the 2 days of E3?

Yes (this would be blank, but i must have 10 characters or more)

shit shit SHIT! I will be in #@$#%$# Rome during E3! Without net access! *curses some more* And now this too! Aaaaaaaaargh!

/me dies

They dont have online access in the hotel room?

I don't even need to download it! Thanks PC Gamer! :)

And it's not totally free... you still have to buy the actual game. They plan on making their money by selling expansion packs instead of monthly frees... which is still better because that guarantees new content for your money! And if an expansion doesn't suit you, don't buy it!

took a look at some of the screenshots, gorgeous graphics. I hadn't paid any attention to this game at all but assuming the E3 demo delivers, I might look into buying this

Looks interesting, I downloaded the client too.

It is from the creators of Blizzard and Battle.net, who split off from the company 3 years ago. People from Squaresoft are there too.

Every company that has ever made a mmorpg or a game like warcraft is there, which means it has to be good, or atleast i hope.

I remember reading about this a while back...It got me quite excited but then i forgot about it because hl2 pretty much overrides any game excitement after a while.

Im gonna get this once ive finished downloading everything else im doing at the moment.

I'll be playing this game for sure come E3... counting the days.

yep.. got this in my PC Gamer as well, can't wait to play it.
