Me too... apparently I could have still used my old character because it said the name, Letters Ahoy, was already in use. :O No one else would use that besides me... no one...

So I have a new name: Letteres Res! I'm a Mesmer/Warrior just like last time... see what's changed in these months. :O

Well, played around on gw with letters, the art was good as allways (same as e3) and the hud is alot better, controls been cleaned up and the chat system is best I have ever seen.

Only thing I have is that you cant seem to go just hunting, needing to party to do missions. Thats not my idea of fun, unless its with a friend. I wont be buying this.

It's definitely been cleaned up since E3... not sure if it's really all that good yet...

Having us all start off at level 15 is rather odd... makes it hard to get into it at first because you have all these spells and abilities and they're ALL new to you...

The spells don't have the cool "hey you're casting something!" animations/particle effects that I'd like... everything just seems the same...

After using World of Warcraft's chat system, this one feels incredibly limited... it annoys me... in fact, I feel limited in a lot of things. I can't jump. I can't change my spells during a mission. Plus, there's all the other stuff that's limited because it's a demo... like crafting things... most of the stuff I can craft I already have...

The missions so far, while having some unique things about them, seem to lack real direction... I'd like to know where I'm going better... maybe let us have a real map? Oh, and how about letting us find our party better? Squinting at the little green dots on the minimap isn't cool... and you can't even see anyone who may have wandered off your minimap...


It looks like there's potential for a lot of character customization, but it just isn't happening with this demo's restrictions, so it's hard to tell how it'll really be...


Henchman have been the best surprise so far... they're cool...




Overall, it's fun enough I guess... I'd rather be able to play the World of Warcraft open beta, though.

just whack some LOTR music into your winamp window works a treat. especially when you're running accross a bridge of there's a beautiful landscape accross the lake, and 'The Hornburg' swells to it's crescendo beautiful stuff.

and Letters has impeccable taste in female videogame characters

Hmmm, anyone else find this game boring? Equip item, click on bad guy, wait until he dies, click on other bad guy... boring.

The only good thing is that it looks nice, but then again you're limited to where you can actually go by a magic invisible forcefield.

It's not like that at all... did you download the right game? If that's all you do, you must die all the time...

I've made it to the level cap of 20 and have finished all the missions and done tons of guild war/tomb/arena matches, and I'm still really enjoying it... PvP is prolly the best I've played in an RPG so far...
