Guilty pleasures

Fall Out Boy have a couple of catchy rockin' tracks...

So do Linkin Park, and Limp Bizkit has some nice music in some of their songs (the instrumentals, not Fred Durst vocals...)

I too like that rihanna song.

I also am able to tolerate a few All American Reject songs >.>

old Third Eye Blind and old Semisonic and old Matchbox 20 and Coldplay...

and christmas music at non-christmas times.

Really, any mid/late-90's mainstream music because I listened to it back in middle school. It is hard not to still enjoy the songs you liked back then. Like that Tubthumping song by Chumbawumba...

yeah muse just kicks serious ass. go see them live. one of the coolest shows ever.

yeah... green day and cold play are my guilty pleasures.and aqua...

Have you know, watching Kerrang the other night at around 2am, Dookie (Green Day album) was in the top 10 for best rock album of all time. Never Mind the Bollox by the Sex Pistols was voted the best, with Led Zepplin's first second.

I don't understand guilty pleasures in music. If you feel guilty from listening to music, then why would you listen to it?

Because its a band/type of music that everyone usually listens to, or that say all your friends hate.

Bah, everyone has their own taste. Who cares what they think.

It's subjective, though, and in the end it comes off as being quite a sheepish and spoon-fed outlook on music, abiding by the 'rules' of the majority of what's hot and what's not.

People shouldn't be afriad of these things. It's just music. Like what you want, it doesn't deserve to be hidden away and kept in the dark from others.

dookie isn't a great album. it is an influential album. people get that very mixed up sometimes and that pisses me off to no end.

the guilty pleasure thing is like, these guys are lame yet i love listening to their music, but by pretentious music standards i should not like them. its just fun stuff, nothing serious.

Various stuff from 80's.

The 80's can never be a guilty pleasure, friend.

Man, how long has it been since I've heard One Night in Bangkok and I STILL remember the lyrics. Thanks for posting that, I missed that song. Forgot about it, really.
