gun fires 1,000,000 rounds per minute

It's true that there have been some very good inventions by militaries - the internet being one particularly apt example.
HOWEVER, a gun that can reduce another human being to a mere mist of blood and minute bone shards in a picosecond is not exactly what I would class as a "useful" invention.

I totally agree with you, except that now, instead of writhing around in pain while blood squirts out of their neck from a sniper bullet, they won't have time to react before their body becomes toothpicks.

oh, so we extinguish their existence before they know it, rather than making them feel a bit of pain first. that's loads better :|

death becomes even worse when you're an atheist.

Meh, at least if you're still writhing, you still have a chance of medical assistance.
It's very hard to revive a human paste.

Wow...I bet you could do some good hunting with this gun!

Sure you could... but whatever your hunting would be transformed into a great cloud of blood... You'd need a big garbage bag to capture the cloud out of the air.... SO in essence, you bagged a deer! loller

No, it'd be a good hunting gun because it fires several dozen shots before there is any recoil; you can't go hunting with a million rounds of ammunition. The deer would notice the trucks :D

Had to be from Texas didn't you?

/sighs a million sighs

Lots of people seem to be ignoring the fact that they're entirely right in one aspect: using this gun in it's high-volume form on a person is nuts. The bullets we have right now do that job frighteningly effectively. There's no reason whatsoever to fire 100 bullets at a person when a three-round burst is almost assuredly lethal, and if not will put them out of the fight at least. The only real use of this system seems to be it's unique electronic triggering mechanism which leads to fewer jams (and other cool things like police sidearms only people with the "certification rings" or something could use - I have a county marshall as a neighbor and he thought that was a really great idea), and perhaps a rudimentary projectile-interdiction system. Planes move slow enough for SAMs to be quite effective, so no real great uses there. Might replace conventional AA flak. Of course, even a million bullets won't do much to armor, so RPGs and the like will still be fun. Meh, I don't see much use in warfare for this thing.

I think itll be used to blow up missiles in mid-air and stuff. Maybe used against fighter jets. But-could it kill Superman?

Reckon the more pertinent question is - could it kill Wolverine?

not sure but it would own if they made a paintball version. Itd be great for scenario games as an objective to capture and use. But thatd sure hurt toget hit with 1 million paintballs at the same time.

That thing is the arch-enemy of infantry worldwide.

Haha, GordonFreeman911 keeps bumping old threads. Since noone else seems to be telling him, I will.

Don't dig through age-old threads and post in them. Just sort of a rule around here I guess. You can tell how old a thread is by looking at the date of the last post. If it's over something like 6 months ago don't bother.
