Guru of 3d Dual 7950 GX2 Review

what IS your comp?
I wish I could get one of those in my rig, I dont have the $ right now though.

That rig is godly.. Mine doesn't even compare, and I thought mine was pretty good. :frown:

Excellent article though. He said Lost Coast looks truly amazing. I'm sure it does.. I want screenshots.

Yes, that's what I would be thinking while playing at 2560x1600!
Screenshots! Screenshots for everyone!
But noooo...

Very droolicious anyway, thx xombine

I think I lost about twenty IQ points after reading that review. Why aren't there any PC hardware reviewers with decent literary skills? Half the time it seems like he has no goddamn clue what he's talking about, especially when he's talking about game engines. [edit] Hmm, turns out he's from the Netherlands... Still doesn't excuse the fact that he thinks the light-streaming-through-windows effect in HL2 isn't just a handful of sprites.

...

Amazing performance, but it's too bad that DX9 limits the usefulness of the extra GPUs to insane amounts of AA. I can't wait to see the kind of performance this quad-SLI setup will get with Crysis.

That is ****ing ridiculous
How can you possibly imagine you gorgeous UT2007 or Crysis are going to look on that thing

16xAA and 32xAA? I didn't even know they existed! I also noticed they did not even bother benching for 1280x1024. How times have changed..

Reviewers tend to benchmark at 1280 x 1024 more where mid-range cards are concerned. Most expect a decent mid-range card to be able to cope with 1280 x 1024 with most detail options included. It's pretty much a given that any high-end card will be able to cope at that resolution.
