America needs more ghost towns anyways. It'll give the country some much needed historic architectural character. We need something like stonehenge or Rome over here.

True, True.See the thing is you need ports dotted throughout the United States coast... not just on the eastern and western seaboard. Rerouting all the ship freight to florida causes huge amounts of congestion probably, and longer freight times to reach central united states where much of that stuff needs to go.
