i have an emachines T4510, i upgraded it to make it have a gig of ram (added a 512 meg chip from crucial.com), and i radeon 9000 128 meg agp video card (from best buy), i think i need a new motherboard/video card/power supply and shit but im really lost and i need help. i want smoething good like this:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-130-196&depa=0

or an x800 xt plat ;(

i really dont know wha motherboard i have or what power supply i have but someone could look it up using the model number of the computer, i tried and couldnt find anything.

I have an AGP slot and CPU-Z doesn't show it for me either.

the specs for the t4510 on some site said it has 1 agp slot, plus i am using a radeon 9000 agp card, heres the text output file

The trouble with upgrading a computer made by someone like eMachines is that they often use custom sized equipment which means that an ATX powersupply might not fit, the same goes with a mobo upgrade as companies like dell and emachines etc use custom mobo sizes and different screw hole locations so an ATX mobo might not fit in your emachines case.

happend to my compaq crap computer you want at least 300-350 watt power supply before adding a nvidia that much $500 or radeon 9600 xt. I may build new computer or transfer stuff to a new case.
I laughed a tecnintion at best buy said if radeon box doesnt say how much wattage you need then you will be fine. I laughed ok so radeon box doesnt say how much watts it needs and i have 3 watt power supply so i can add radeon 9600 xt i was pissed also!!!

what if i just went with a 9800 pro? that needs no special power supply (i think?) and i think my agp can go up to 4x (click here) but when i set it to 4x, it makes me restart my computer, and when i go bnack after restart, its still set to off.

9800 requires 300 watts according to ATi, but if its a good quality psu or you don't have much attached to it you could possibly get away with less.

my friend has a 350 watt power supply he can give me, itll fit into my case right? god damn this upgrading shit.

I kind of like upgrading. Wraith, it's been my experience that pre-built computer suck, unless they're made by some badass company (Alienware, Ibuypower, etc.). In the future, I'd recommend building your own -- it's not hard, and you'll learn a lot. The problem with prebuilt computers is a lot like what GPRT said, they're specialized. Sometimes the bioses are even locked. A power supply should fit though.

Wraith, seriously, if you don't know if "it'll fit in your chassie", then maybe you should either leave it to someone else to do it for you, or actually read up on how to do, and what's important...
