Hack Available to Download the Official Vista SP1 Straight from Microsoft, ZOMG!

I was flicking through the incrysis forums to see what bugs and problems everybody might have been having with the DX10 version.

Just by luck, someone in fact had a thread about a possible Hack to allow access to the Vista Service Pack 1 beta.

But be advised, I don't know how trustworthy this hack is (I haven't tried it myself) so if there is anyone technical minded, it would be of help to know if this thing is legally illegally legit

Apparently somebody reported on a performance increase with Crysis (apparently DX10 was inline with DX9 for performance and in some cases suppassed). However I'm not sure about any other game.

Bah, I torrented it months ago. Worked damn good for a beta. Great performance and didn't have any issues with it. All games ran great as well. Unfortunately, I fubared it trying some advanced tweaks and couldn't get back in without blue screening.

Yeah, it's good. Noticed an improvment in FPS in most games on Vista x64 home premium. :bounce:

I highly doubt your gonna see anything with that. Vista isn't actually that bad on memory management.
XP and Mac OsX 10.0 = Both minimum of 64megs of memory
Vista and Mac OSX 10.5(Leopard) = Both minimum of 512megs of memory.

I guess they could improve SuperFetch and make it completely turn off under heavy loads. If you want to force Vista to use less memory disable things like SuperFetch. If you want Vista to use memory better leave SuperFetch on because whats the point of 1gig of free memory if nothings using it?
