Hack Proof CS Source?

Will there ever be a hack proof version of Source? I just saw someone use speedhack on two different servers...

:dozey: In the world we live in today... No, no game will ever be hack proof. But, there's proof that there's hacks.

hacking in cs:s will get just as bad if not twice as bad as in cs, vac2 will be just as easy to hack around as vac1.

As long as valve keeps VAC2 up to date... then and only then will we ave fewer hackers. You can never get rid of em compeltely

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Nothing is hack proof. VAC2 will slow down hackers for sure, but once they figure it out, it will be back to having random chumps hacking away because they dont have the skill involved to play fairly.

It won't be twice as bad, a number of script kiddies are automatically cut out because they dont have decent machines.
Then theres steam which will (eventually) render pirated/duplicate users void
And then there are the surprise vac updates that always get 10000 or so cheats with each hit..
Hacks will decline eventually.

The best rule is, play on servers with admins.

Or even better on the HL2.net servers a friendier group of people I have not met. If only I could get my PC fixed.

The easiest way to avoid hackers is to just play on servers you know to have admins and people willing to step up and do something about the paticular script kiddy.

Of course you'll run into hackers now and then, but it's like reality (oddly enough), you'll run into people who are just jerks.

Actually that's not the only reason. I was reading up on this:

Apparently, the G0t users only use hacks openly to annoy other people. These are called "Rages". Their entire aim is to get the whole server annoyed and hurl abuse at them, and then screenshots are taken, and they compile them. The more "Rage" they get, the better it is...

So I suggest when a g0t hacker comes on, don't get annoyed and type things at them, because that's all they're going for. If you be polite (E.g. "haha, that's a funny hack you got there.") then their "Rage" will be unsuccesful and they will leave.

Other hackers however I don't know... VAC2 will kill them though.

the g0ts are annoying (and racist, I might add) I had a thread up here before and it had a demo of a g0t player and he was using some hacks and successfully annoyed the whole ct team

haha. I joined a server with a couple g0t users on a server once. it was fun watching peoples reactions. 15 year olds yelling "****ing noob haxor!!". it wasn't hard taking down them while they were using speedhacks. I took down two or three by myself. :bounce:

The g0t leader finds it fun to join a really good clan by playing fair and then put a hack on in a important tourney or match in order to get them DQ and make the public believe that these guys were hackers always. its there idea of fun, saw it in a video documentary on competitive cs:p.

Also, no matter how BAD Hacks are, they point out the weaknesses in an online game and by fixing these weaknesses (updating vac) the game is in the end made better and less buggier.

i think the best way to combat this is to have a system created by valve that will detect and automaticly ip ban from the valve network any one using a hack of anysort there will be a few people getting the elbow at first and then once word gets around they will think twice about cheating maybe if this seems harsh they could make it a temporary 1 or 2 week ban but if they are gonna loose 1 or 2 weeks gaming just for using a hack in 1 match and they still go ahead and use the damn thing then they dont like the game enough and should have a permanent ban or maybe a 3 or 4 strikes and ya out 3 or 4 temp bans and ya ip is banned for life
