Hahah this guy was fired later that day

Oh, come on! This was ****ing funny. I've seen news anchors do some horendous blunders, and get away with it, and they fire this guy?

I didn't think it was all that funny until the slo mo replay. He has absolutely no accent so I feel like he's just some American chilling out over there.

Or, finnish news anchors are just THAT good at faking an american accent.

Not the funniest thing in the world but he shouldn't be fired for it.

It's funny because it was during one of those boring newscasts where you wouldn't expect it... god damn, guys! You're no better than the assholes that fired him!

HEY! I'm not saying I would fire the guy! It was definitely clever, but I just didn't find it funny. It's more... *heh*smirk*heh*

I found it hilarious, bad thing he got fired

Heh, that made me smile. Getting fired for that is bullshit.

This. To be honest though, his bosses were probably already looking to fire him. In fact, he may have done it because he knew he was getting the axe anyways.

The best thing about the video is the end imo. When the titles role he sits there really smug, happy with his succesful joke. He even reacts to some dude backstage. He looks so happy. Too bad he lost his job, but I bet he will have a new one pronto.

I'm pretty sure the company that runs the news show would probably be in the shit if they just let that go without any kind of ramification.

AFAIK (At least in terms of Australian television) the specific act of drinking alcohol has an effect on the show's classification, so I imagine that the news show's classification doesn't allow him to do that.

(Either that or they're just pricks idk)

I lol'd. That's something you expect to see from a Saturday Night Live skit, not a real news show.
