Half-life 2 and source games video problems

i just bought a new ati x1650 pro 512 mb graphics card and updated the drivers....cheched the game cache and everything and the half-life 2 games and also the source games displays everything weirdly....the maps all messed up and the walls and floors become seethrough...i dont know how to fix it except maybe i should go with nvidia instead of ati......can someone please help me.....the only problem i can think of is maybe i didnt uninstall the integrated graphics card before upgrading but i dont think thats the problem.....i dont even know how to do that

i forgot to mention that my pc came with 2 gb of ram and i added another gb of ram...do you think that could be the problem???? And 1 other thing....im using windows vista ultimate

I would uninstall all ATI driver off your PC and all the ATI folders. Then do a fresh install of new updated drivers. Make sure you restart your computer after uninstall.

I have an ATI radeon X800XT and windows vista and everything runs fine!
