The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences held their 8th annual awards show in Las Vegas last night, a ceremony dedicated to recognizing and awarding outstanding achievement in the entertainment software industry. It shouldn't come as any surprise then that Half-Life 2 picked up the most awards there, receiving a total of 9 out of the 39 awarded.

- Outstanding Innovation in Computer Gaming
- First Person Action Game of the Year
