Half life 2 ep.1 - Need save as video at start crashes me

Just installed Half life 2: ep.1, My PC is pretty old (around 7 years old) and the video card is not strong enough to play the video at the begining. However I am able to play the rest of the game if I load a save. I'd like to start the game from the begining, is it possible someone could upload a save just after the intro movie?

Enable developers console, and hit ~ while on the main menu.

Type in sv_unlockedchapters#

Not sure how many chapters there are.

Just shove sv_cheats on in the developer console (if you don't have it enabled, go to options -> Keyboard -> Advanced and enable dev. console)

To bring it up, press, as Ace said, ~ or ¬ (the button to the left of 1).

the type:

sv_cheats 1

then:

map ep1_citadel_01

or whatever map you want to start from. Then it should start after the vid

after saving, go back into console and type

sv_cheats 0

to turn them off

I don't think you need cheats enabled to select a map. But try that anyway.
