Half Life 2: Episode 2 Launcher Error

When i try to launch HL2: Ep 2 it shows up a launcher error that says:

"Failed to load the launcher DLL:
Did not find the denoted procedure."

I have played this game before, yes.

Hope someone knows what to do and can help me Thanx

Have you tried verifying your game cache in Steam?
Right click Episode 2 in steam, properties, local files, verify integrity of game cache.

Did you play it with the new client or only with the old?

If that didn't help, you must reinstall HL2:EP2 (take a backup of your config)

btw: what Windows version are you using?

Actually I don't think I have played it on the new client yet, not 100% sure.

Yeah, the link, ehh... if "dll" means "DownloadLists" it says: No archives found in selected files and folder.

I just tried to reinstall it, but didn't change anything.

Windows Vista Home Premium.

Okey, this is strange. As you know by the title of this thread I got problems with HF2: Ep 2, but right after I posted the last post, I tried to launch all of my half life 2 games.
By doing so, I noticed this:

Half Life 2: Not working. :angry:
Half Life 2 Deathmatch: Working. :thumbs:
Half Life 2 Episode 1: Working. :thumbs:
Half Life 2 Episode 2: Not working. (ofc not) :angry:
Half Life 2 Lost Coast: Working. :thumbs:

Yes, all are updated, cause I have launched all of the games today, and no one of them started to self update.

So try going into your game files and deleting the 'Bin' folder.
