Half Life 2 HDR Mini Bloom Problem

I'm not sure where this belongs but I thought just normal Half Life 2 discussion would get this solved quicker. I have installed this mod now 4 times, and the first time it worked fine. Due to computer problems and other issues I've had to reinstall the mini bloom.

Now the first time it did this I didnt care but now I want to play it with the mini bloom because of course it makes it look better. every time i start up the mini bloom and the start screen appears, i get a checkered board of purple. i can see through the purple but it of course is annoying. It is bright so it would ruin the experience. It goes in a pattern of Purple, no purple, purple and so on. what is wrong with it???

I recommend a validation... Purple checkers are missing textures, I believe...

Missing models come up w/ a big red thing that says ERROR or MISSING or something... But the error/missing thing is a big red model. I thought it was funny when I got that error in CS:S, because the error was present in the actual game, rather than a windows pop-up telling you that a file is missing or something.
