Actually first and really it is the symbol lambda. Then it is whatever you want it to be.

Wouldnt that be inasne to find skeletons of humans in a huddled position in the soil on mars? Giant skulls of some unknown alien species that could have owned a T-rex, and Maybe a sword face down so it looks like a cross? That would be so awsome and crazy at the same time.

OT: Chewcky, don't be so blunt. Chances are he got it from hl2central, but, information can be shared between sites. It's not as though hl2central created it, so I wouldn't say credit is necessarily due. However, he should've mentioned he did find it at hl2central if that's the case.

the pictures to the richard hoagland thing is retard, i cant even see what he's pointing out... some weird shapes or something... i'm sure plenty of planets have rocks...

It's a real pic, but it's not a peace symbol or a hl logo. It's just something that looks like it.

I don't know if any of you saw the pic with the 19 in it, it's the same deal. When we're looking at something meaningless like that, we look for familiar shapes. It's like seeing shapes in the clouds.

I've always wanted to pick up a copy of Hoagland's "The Monuments of Mars" just for a good laugh... never got around to it though.
 
well, its not just a lambda symbol, its a lambda enclosed in a circle, which is the hl2 symbol.

but yeah, just a freaky co-incidence, the universe is filled with them.

Maybe its an alternate universe where HL2 was never released so people went so crazy they started making giant lambda symbolds all over until they finally killed eachother to get the final product

It is the lambda symbol with a circle round it, which is the HL logo not just the lambda symbol.

maybe the russian probe was attacked by combine forces.
