Half-Life 2 Media - stop whining

END all of these whining threads now! It is getting ridiculous!

The 4th media has obviously been postponed because of the updates to
1) Dedicated Server and
2) Counter-Strike

This means postponed, i.e. that new update will be put back a day or so.

It is obvious that the priorities for Valve should be to fix all bugs in existing games, afterall, it is these that continue to support their development costs.

So as a priority issue, it surely goes
1) Fix and update existing Problems (Platform, Cache Security, Counter-Strike etc..)
2) Release High-Res media, which I presume is ready to go, but they are saving bandwidth with making absolutely sure that everyone has the latest of Number 1 (above).

Conclusion
It is all part of the the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), it's all about priorities, so we'll just have to wait for a free space in daily schedule of important updates.

Post counts don't mean much of anything. It's what you post and what you contribute to the discussion that matters.
It's easy to get a post count but it tends to be made up of useless spam and gives very little input on the topic, unless you've been here for a good deal of time and make every post count.

Where the hell is the next video anyways? Idiots said MONDAY.. it's flipping Tuesday now and no new video.. At this rate it will take them til OCT just to release them all for crying out loud. So far the videos sucked anyways.. they are just enhanced versions of the same crap we saw from the e3 footage.. Take your stupid videos and shove them and release something new.. Like maybe some info on the Multiplayer... if you even have anything worth mentioning.. that's probably why they haven't said anything , because they know the multi is going to suck , so let everyone preorder the game and then release it with crap multiplayer. I think I will hold off on buying the game now for simple fact that.. 1) No news on multiplayer is not good, 2) Graphics look kinda bland in the new videos and 3) If the game was running on a high end system and it lags, imagine what it will do on my midrange system ... shesh... min requirement is probably going to look like crap... Good bye forum, I am officially leaving til after I hear something good about Half Life 2.

Taz, they told us the videos were direct feed of the E3 demonstration. Don't complain about things they've already told you and you accepted in the first place.
Get a job making games, get a large fanbase nagging on your ass, and try to do them a favour and run into problems, THEN you can complain.

Tas can kiss my ass, valve are making you a fu*king game (the best game ive seen in a long time) and all you can do is piss and moan about some vids being a day late, if you realy want hl2 to be good shut up and be lucky that valve even take notice of this community and its other fans to release these vids at all, some game developers dont even release vids before the release date and we are left guessing what the game is realy like. why they put up with dickheads complaining about late vids and release them at all is beyond me :flame:

and they are desperately working to fix bandwith issues and slowdowns as you can see from the patchs... and if you look in the games media and under HL2 Media then go to update info you would see they haven't even put on Kleiners-lab so hush you all and personally i think it sucks when #hl2media has to put in the topic for all to see "STOP FLAMING VALVE" i mean they just spent 5 years working on this and not beng able to say a word... They want their work respected and shown with the highest standards.... It wasn't just the videos I was complaining you little turd. If you bothered to read all of my post it was about a little of everything. And for I give a sh!t, Valve could have kept the videos because I already saw them before... Most people I know want some information on multiplay, not some 2 month old videos that everyone but the pope has already seen. That and the fact the videos only made the game look poorer then the e3 videos did. Sure the game looks great, but it's nothing compared to the likes of games like S.t.a.l.k.e.r or Doom3 for that matter. Maybe it has great Singleplayer, and I don't doubt that it will.. Singleplayer in HL rocked, but the multiplayer was just boring Deathmatch til the mod community got a hold of it. I am just saying that with all these delays and constant bugs showing up (Is AA even worth mentioning again) that the game might ship in a state not acceptable to most that are anticipating. Now shut up and crawl into your little hole as well as anyone else who doesn't have anything to prove me wrong but rather make slanderess remarks because I have opened my eyes.

Videos made LAST september. Game NOT finished. Valve HAS a plan for the videos. They WILL release new videos after the E3 ones. blah blah.

And yes I am joking... I love Valve and Half Life 2 will rock.. I just love being in a flame war and considering this topic is about as useless as many of the other ones you people plaster all over these great forums I am sure it will be deleted. Like I give a rats arse about some videos. I consider myself one of the biggest HL fans out there.. have played it more times then I care to count.. heck I am replaying it just because it's free. I play CS, DOD, SvenCoop and pretty much played anything that ever came out for HL so I am more then aniticipating HL2's release.. It's my life!! I couldn't care about Stalker or Doom3 (although they do look good), it's all about the multiplay that has me up in arms. I know Valve has something great in store, and I will be the first one to praise them (maybe not on here as guys live here as I have a life).

So go to bed, play a game or read a book as there is no use posting stupid comments on a otherwise great forum.
