Half life 2.net song by hlradio

some people are making fun of hl2.net on hl2 radio.
idunno why. what happened ?
 
There's been alot of negativity towards HL2.net from many HL2 sites over the past year.. sucks, really. But ah well, that's the way it goes sometimes
 
Not that I'm aware of...other than some bad blood with them resulting from their members getting banned for doing stuff like this.
 
Valved, why do you always reply to your own posts?

That was Hl2 source, wasn't it?

I though that some of their guys were spamming with HL radio advertisements.

The thread got closed, so they decided to show off their collective E-penis.

Hooray for them. They closed one section of the site for about five minutes.
 
Apparently a mod banned one of them for having an inappropriate name...next thing you know...

They both have the same webmaster (HL2Source and HLRadio)

Apparently you're fairly new to their forums. We have been REPEATEDLY bashed over there. Many threads in the past have been made that are anti-HalfLifeRadio.com and anti-HalfLifeSource. If you go back to, I'd guess around early October there should be some there, there were some in early January, and last month there was some going on. About 3 weeks ago, one was made that caused them to come over here and start shit. Not the speed posts like our members created, but shit was created nonetheless.-RblDiver

i say we give them some textbooks so they learn how to ****ing speak. their forums are laughable. :D
 
go to hl2 source right now and look at their weapons page.

I'm pretty sure the only way they could get the weapon model pictures like that would be to get them from the beta.

And same for some of those character shots.
 
To be fair though, that was a post from a member of ours who was concerned about the fact that his artwork was stolen to be used on halflifesource without his permission. I think you can fully forgive him for that one.
 
As for the other occasion recently, well I think a lot of people still have their thoughts about that one, but HalfLife2.Net Staff don't care whether they have 30,000 members or 300,000,000 members.
 
Perhaps Chris. But you must admit, it was done with the intent of creating trouble (instead of going through the proper channels), plus it did degenerate into site wars.
 
Well I can't speak for his actions and neither can the rest of HalfLife2.Net.

They whine like little children, lets just drop it....We are much more mature than them.
 
Apparently it all started when we banned someone for saying they liked HalfLife Radio.

What actually happened was there was a number of threads stating they liked HL Radio (fair enough) but even more threads slagging us off so just to ease it and make sure all the trouble makers were rid of we deleted all threads and banned all instigators.

I can probably prove this with the logs and time stamps but frankly, I've had enough tonight.
 
wow, thats kinda harsh, im my own personal oppinion. you could have just closed the threads. but banning is not nice :(

i like hl2.net and hl radio but just because i say i like one more than the other, i dont think a person should be banned. but thats just me. im not justifying anything. o_O

hmmm, pauly yeah give me a quote i wanna see more of this.

You saw for yourself the damage they were doing. They were only there for one thing, and one thing only. To bombard us with posts and we will not tolerate it. Closing the thread does not stop them from posting the same shit again ( which is what they were doing ) so we had to ban.

For the record however, if any HalfLife Source / Radio members wish to re-register they can do. Providing it isn't with the intention of causing damage or nusiance to the site.

They say you banned them for no reason?
Here's what they did to me:

I spent 30 minutes in a thread message on their forum, trying to be as polite and friendly as possible.. The response? Ban and deletion of the thread. :| The IRC users of the forum didn't seem to be any better than that either. ;( Sure sucks when you try to be as nice as possible and get shit shoveled in your face.
 
And I think on that note, let's try and just move on. It happened, that's that. I'm not going to lose sleep over it, none of the staff will. But once more, I wish no member of HalfLife2.Net to participate in any site bashing, flame wars or heated debates with other communties. We appreciate all the help you've given us over the last few months, but if we need someone to stick up for us we will do it ourselves and it will be using the proper channels.

Likewise if any of our members have any problems with other communties feel free to let us know and we'll sort it out, once again using the proper channels.
 
getting back to the topic, what was the hl2.net song? I never heard it, (and to whoever from source is spying on this, I LIKE radio) what were the lyrics?
 
I have some that i repeated singing along typed out, but i wont post it

And they are re-running the show right now
