Half-Life 2 < Pariah? Why don't you think so?

I know it probably won't surpass Half-Life 2 in terms of anything, but it's just the way some people act - like anything other than Half-Life 2 isn't worth playing. I'm very sure this won't push the boundaries at all, but I can see it being one of those games that you play for throwaway fun; the same way that something like UT2k4 was. It added nothing new to the genre, but it took everything good from the tried-and-tested formula and made a solid game.

Some people here can be such fanboys at times. Sure, it's not going to win any awards or revolutionize the genre, but it does look like pure damn fun. I don't know about you, but that's what I look for in my games.

Its a great game, but not the greatest. And it wouldn't really matter what I think the greatest is, it'd be my opinion. No reason to antsy over someone's opinion.

Pariah is on my "games to watch list".

Ofcourse, asking someone to "prove" to you how hl2 is better is dumb, since pariah is not out yet.

It could be a lot of fun. I have wanted a decent singleplayer game in ut2004-style, and pariah might be it.
