Half-Life 2 Preload Phase 4

Preload 4 was just released, restart your Steam clients to download it.

The fourth phase of the Half-Life 2 preload begins to Steam account holders today.

This will allow users to download the majority of Counter-Strike: Source in encrypted form. No purchase is required to pre-load Half-Life 2, but is required to activate the game. The moment the game is made available, those who have pre-loaded and purchased the game via Steam will be ready to start playing.

I pre-loaded the first two phases of HL2 to my computer, but have not done pre-load 3 or 4. However, my steam client seems to "think" that I have. How do I get it to recognize that I have not yet performed the phase 3 and 4 pre-loads? I have tried quitting steam and logging back on. Thanks for any help.

I dont know why they JUST posted this on the steam website, when I received this preload late last week I believe.

My CS:S cache is 889MB. And I re-opened steam just now and nothing is downloading, so i'm taking it this refers to the one that took place last week.

this is the fourth HL2 preload. (last?)
it just became available today. the CS:S was seperate.

did you open up the cfg with something scape or whatever (im not really in the know)

if this is the CS:S content... that sucks, that means there is at least 1 more preload to go.
(not that it really matters, i just thought this was the last, and therefore the preload process was complete... then again valve never stated how many preloads there would be)

Yup, this is CS:S. It's confirmed by the Steam News update. A second confirmation came from a Valve employee at the Steampowered forums.

Damn, when I start Steam and it tries to connect I get an error. maybe I have more luck tommorrow in the morning, that also worked with the other preloads

Gah. First I hear that there is a new preload & then Steam won't let me log on. And when I finally get on, the program won't download anything ;( Oh well.

Its not downloading anything cause this preload is for poeple who DO NOT HAVE cs: s beta installed, those who do already have this preload.
