i don't how many of u pple have access to the CS:Source beta.. but if u do.. then it does give a small indication of where Valve might be with HL2.

truth is theres still quite a few things which need to be corrected within the source engine.. some minor, some major... i'll point to the example of random crashing that i personally have experienced and others i have talked to experienced something similar.

so with that said... it would be extremely optimistic to expect HL2 in September.. let alone early September.. just take things with a grain of salt pple.. thats all i can say.. :|

I find I enjoy a good mix. I couldn't stand a forum where everyone just said, "Valve missed their 15th date in a row. That's a good thing because it only means they're making the game EVEN better! Keep missing dates! We still wuv u!! **smoochy smoochy huggy valvie. **"

While an overabundance of flames is never desirable, I think Valve is in need of some -- shall we say -- constructive criticism?

What are you guys talking about, they proloaded a file called base source shared.gcf that is about 60 meg of HL2 stuff. so the preload has begun, just not the way you thought it would.

It isnt the benchmark, its the game DLL that you downloaded the night the beta activated.

Good point here. I just don't like reading 1 sided bashing of "lying bastards who decieve blah blah blah" etc.

Criticism and brown nosing need balancing. I just don't see very much brown nosing
