It looks like valve might be raising the price of the Gold Edition to 99.95$ instead of just 89.95$

Could be soon since it's gold.

Not sure on that, but it is possible. I know a lot of stragglers would still pay 100 for Gold. Glad I bought mine on Steam already, though

It's possible this was a retail vug negotiation about the price. Retailers complain a lot and refuse to sel products if the price matching isn't there.
