This is your fifteen hour warning guys... the time is nearly here. To mark this amazingly joyous occasion we're inviting you to a massive Half-Life 2 release party on IRC.

Come and join in the fun by connecting to Quakenet and visiting us on #halflife2. If you don't know how to connect to IRC, follow the instructions here. Alternatively, if you already have an IRC client installed, such as mIRC, you can just click this link to launch into our channel

They don't know it yet, but we'll try and get some Valve developers in there and generally have a great time. See you there!

What's there to do for 15 hours?

No use. Spammers paradise. Ten lines per second.
/quit

I will join when I get home from work. The computing security folks would take a dim view of running IRC traffic across our network (I've been warned twice) :dork:

LAST TIME 2 HAVE SEX, TILL U BET AND MASTER3D Half-Life 2

14 hours left! ah the joyous time of this site is ending, and a new phase is starting!

nice to know you guys, have fun at the party, new age heralds

Instead of a boring IRC party we could start up Halo 2 (people have been posting their gamertags in this thread) and CSS games.

On second thought... nevermind. That would need tons of servers. Average cable connections can support something like 8-12 players, right? With all of the people in IRC right now that would require somewhere between 40 and 60 servers from people with broadband (less if we had some people with really fast connections). Then, you'd have to break the group of 470 people down into groups small enough to fit on them, and preferrably by general location so they could get decent pings. Well, it would be hectic to say the least.

EDIT: I'm going to hop on the "[LeetNet.com] Halflife2.net CS:S NY" server... last one there's a dirty n00b!
