I'm not quite sure if that is the proper way to describe my problem, but I'll explain it further. I will be playing any HL2-based game, and if I get too far away from physics objects, they disappear. I'm not sure if this is an issue with my graphics card or not, or if it can be fixed. Thanks for your help.

Use the "cl_detailfade" command.
For me i have it at "cl_detailfade 400" The game set it for me at that and physical objects don't fade away for me. But you can mess around with the values so it suits you

There is also this command which i have set at "cl_detaildist 1200" This command also effects props and grass.

Edit: There is a very good guide here that may help: http://www.tweakguides.com/HL2_8.html

Thank you! =]
Edit: This doesn't seem to work, it must be my graphics card. I know it's an intel, not sure what kind. But I do know that the computer is D530c.

Ah, that could be the problem. Integrated graphic chips are very poor at playing games. The Source Engine takes into account it's capability's and since it's not meant for gaming it's cut back so you can atleast play it.

Let's see, Software DirectX Level: 9.0, Hardware, 6.0. Also, I can't change video settings without the game crashing, it's annoying me.

dont expect any miracles, you will have to do with what valve chooses for you. you cant even change resolution?

It's the only thing I CAN change. It has shaders set on high and I want to lower it because it drops my FPS, but I can't because it crashes saying "Can't "read" memory."
