Half-Life 2 scores in Time Magazine

Actually...I did exactly that. Now Gordon's a prosperous old man with grandkids, retired from his scientific career as a Theoretical Physicist (or something along those lines.)

Really though, The Sims 2 is an excellent game with endless possibilities, just not one that would appeal to most action gamers. In fact, it is so polar opposite to the action fare that it illicits irrational ire from the established action gamer and establishes a following in the non-gamer (girl-friends (as in friends who are girls) of mine who wouldn't give HL2 the time of day ask to play The Sims 2 on my computer because theirs can't run it.) I'm one of the special few who has enjoyed both The Sims 2 and Half-Life 2 immensely.

I can't speak for RTW personally, but I've heard very good things about it as an RTS. I'm tempted to get my hands on it once my spending money reserves recover from the HL2 shopping spree I've been on.

Haven't played Sims 2 but can't see how it's better than RTW or HL2 but hey, whatever. All I know is I played RTW and as far as pure fun factor, it rates right up there with HL2, replayability factor is amazing with that game too, so I think it does beat out HL2, HL2 had a fun SP game, great graphics, great physics, great story, but there's not much substance. But just wait for the mods, when HL2 has it's army of mods backing it, it'll take my number one slot. But as for now there's not much replayability.

I don't mind RTW being #2 and Hl2 being #3, but come on...

The sims 2 is #1 ?! I just don't get it. It might be the fact that I think the game's concept is ridiculous.

And that is exactly what the many millions of Sims fans think about HL2.
