I learned TWO AWSOME THINGS so far..

1. a good reason why the combine managed to open the portal storms was due to the launch of the lamba sattelite. The humans did not think anything of it and thus the combine could invade

2. Combine soldiers were present in the 7 hour war. The DNA of the most dominant species was used to make the super army b4 war.

i love this website

The combine soldiers as we see them in HL2 were not in the seven hour war. That website is full of facts that are wrong, well-made as it may be in other respects.

The most obvious wrong 'fact' is that the Combine were never on Xen, and since that's the basis of the entire thing there's alot of other stuff wrong as well. Well presented and made though.

Yeah, it's a shame so many people listen to this sort of thing, as nothing is explicitly said in game about previous events, before you arrive.
