Hello fellow half-life fans!
I was just replying to the "missing storyline post" when I got this idea. It really bothers me to call games by their number... HL1.. HL2.. it kind of takes away a bit of it's importance. As though it was a mere sequel. The fact is.. this game has a different concept, a different engine, a different gameplay. The story is a sequel, yes, and a damn well made sequel. Yet I would prefer to call it by a unique name. I think it's better to identify the game and divide the story lines. Like Lord of The Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, TT and ROTK. Or Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back and such...
So here's the question: don't you thing HL2 and HL3 should have unique names? What should we call HL2?
I would call it: Half-life 2: Combine Threat (CT or HL2: CT)
Put there are a few other names that came in mind:
Half-life 2: Black Mesa East (BME or HL2: BME)
Half-life 2: The First Free Man (FFM or HL2: FFM)
