Half-Life Anthology & High Definition Pack

I have bought Half-Life Anthology today (I played Half-Life 2, EP1 & EP2, but never played the originals) and although the games work, the High Definition Pack doesn't.

I installed/activated the High Definition Pack with this link(pressing the install link):http://steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=posts&id=438&

... but nothing changes in HL (and OF). I searched the internet for a while, restarted steam a few times, deactivated and activated the pack a few times but nothing happens.

Does anybody got any clues?

You're not expecting it to look like HL2 or anything even remotely close...

The changes are minimal, only the models are slightly ungraded that's it. You will only notice the difference after playing the original.

Ehm, no. There are enough sites who show the differences between the different versions (+ I can play Blueshift which contains the updated models)

Yes, there is no other way I can play them with the Anthology Box.

HD Pack is good but it doesn't change the game completely.
In fact, when I played OF I had a trouble recognizing the models.I even missed the Snarks - I thought they are something bad and avoided them.
And I like the original Barney model,not the Gearbox one.

I still want the better models...



But I think I'm a little step further: I've played a bit of it now and it seems I have the German version of Half-Life because the HECU look like robots (and heve green... stuff instead of blood) and if you shoot a scientist or security guard they shake their head before they die(so it's censored). Perhaps this is preventing the High Def pack from working? This is strange because I don't live in Germany (I live in Belgium) and the "Half-Life Anthology" I bought wasn't German either.
Any clues?

BTW: I do seem to have the updated guns (I have no MP5), but the characters (scientists, Barney's,...) are the old models (or old German models)

That "robot' should be a HECU-soldier...

I double checked everything and it seems that Opposing Force and Blueshift don't have any problems only the "original" Half-Life...

Do you mean "base goldsrc lv.gcf"?-> yes, I have it

that is what I meant. it looks like your account has low violence enabled. if you live in Germany there's nothing you can do. if you don't you can contact steam support and ask them to set your account to normal violence.

I don't live in Germany, but in Belgium. It's bit weird HL1 is censored, but OF and Blueshift aren't (and neither are HL2, EP1 or EP2)
