Half Life Episode one

I could just run a search, but what else is a forum for?

I have half-life 2 and portal at the moment, and both work fine, as did the lost coast, but i didn't use it that much. Anyway, if these work, will Half-life 2 episode one work, too?

On an unrelated note, I just finished playing the level Entanglement on Half-Life 2. I was fooling around with the cheats a little bit (i was bored- i've finished the game before), anyway, twice I ran into Alyx where she wasn't supposed to be- where she should have been just on radio instead. She didn't appear to notice me and just followed me around. Where it got really odd was that on both occasions I eventually met scripted Alyx and the clone still existed. I.e, I had two following me. Which was weird. Has that happened to anyone else?

The cloned Alyx glitch is a relatively common glitch. I don't know what causes it though.

As for EP1 not working. Well. We can't help you unless you give us more information. What are your specs? Have you tried validating the files using Steam (It's an option within the Steam menu).

no, i don't know if episode one will work or not, because i haven't bought it yet. I meant, if portal works, would episode one work, conceivably?

If you're running portal and half-life 2 smoothly, episode 1 shouldn't be a huge deal. So yes you should be able to...hopefully.

this...with an extra dash of easily maybe :cheese: , should be no problem to run...I dont think the spec required to play HL 2 changes that much throughout the Ep's, thus far.

Sorry. I misread your post. If Portal works then EP1 and EP2 should work fine aswell.
