I'm not sure that I'm allowed to discuss this, (which probably means I'm not).
But anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had play Half-Life for Dreamcast? Apparently it's really good, runs very smooth good gfx etc...(blue Shift type graphics anyway)

I was just thinking about weather I should download it from Overnet that's all.

blah.. it never came out. It went gold too! :P

but dreamcast was the best console ever.. seriously..

why's that?

because it had almost no games, and the ones it did have were pretty bad?

I totally agree. I wanted HLDC really bad too... I followed it so closely... Kinda like I'm doing for HL2 now. :cheese:
But yeh, it got canceled sadly due to being like 50,000 petitions asking to put Blue Shift on the PC rather than the DC.

Blue Shift was poorly made anyway. I can bearly see it is so dark, even with the gamma all the way up.

It never came out officially. You can still download it from peer to peer networks.

Hahahahahahaha, no games...Thats a good one :rolling:

actually jet set radio, sonic adventure, skies of arcadia, powerstone, soulcalibur, MDK2, legacy of kain: soulreaver, rayman2, phantasy star online, THPS 2, quake III, Unreal Tournament, house of the dead 2, Shenmue, Ecco, Code Veronica, Fur Fighters, Samba Di Amigo, seaman, crazytaxi

is definatley NOT a lineup to **** wit

but compared to most consoles, thats not an awful lot :O

Only because it was vastly underrated by pretty much everyone. They were all going "Oooh, PS2 OMG?!/1//1" to care about it.

yeah this is probably true cos if there was little demand for dc games, developers wouldn't bother to make them for it.

yea - da DC rocked - I managed to... aquire a copy of HL for it (eBay - guy was selling leaked versions on the cheap) - looked way better than the PC version, only niggle was that it had lots of extra load points - but this wasn't too bad. DC should never have died so soon! HotD2 rocked, Headhunter rocked, Sega Rally rocked, MSR rocked, Sonic 2 rocked - it all ended far to soon!

bah - the DC still puts most consoles to shame. I'd smash my PS2 to bits before I thought of getting rid of it.

Best party games machine ever! :)

(btw - i've got HL for the DC and it's ok, a bit too choppy for my liking and the controls didn't map that well to the joypad)

DC has the best joypad ever! Eventhough the Xbox blatantly copied it, the DC's is still the best one.

DC also lead the way with a lot of hardware ideas, such as the VMU and a built in modem.

You cant beat the party games on dc.... MOST PARTY GAMES EVAR!!!

DC will forever be remembered as the best console ever to me... *cries*

DC's a sweet system.. poor Sega :( Wish they'd get back into the hardware side of consoles

Anyhow, I'd imagine HL for DC is very similar to HL for PS2?

Pretty much so - the framerate isn't as smooth as on the PS2, and there's no co-op.

HL on the DC more of an interest piece imo, a part of gaming history. Not really something you'll play much tho.

DC was my little precious, no console has come close to giving the types of gaming experiences that awesome white box did. I loved the DC and if sega ever made another console id likely snatch it up in seconds.

I have to say, Powerstone 1 & 2 were both awesome as hell. Other than that and Soul Calibur...eh.

yes lol

Take a deep breath :)

it was the console the world forgot. i loved the DC, but sadly it was underrated, and died. I still have fond memories of sonic and phantasy star online. that game was ****ing addicting, it was the equivalent of everquest to me...
