I've just recently returned to the Half-Life world after having played Half-Life back when it first came out. During that time, I remember reading an online novel or chapter book about Half-Life... I think it was an unofficial story but I don't remember. I've been trying to find the website but haven't been able to. Anyone know what i'm talking about or where I can find it? I'd really like to read it again... Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is the right one but it's great so far! I'll keep reading, Thanks!

Not that I remember but it was a long time ago and I remember very few detail of the story. I never realized there was such an extensive network of fan created stories! I assumed that I was reading the only half-life story back then but I could've probably just been reading one of the many versions of fan created stories. It doesn't matter anymore, fanfiction has way more then I bargained for, thanks!

The writing style does get extremely repetitive but still it's the best one on FF.net. Pretty sure he's working on HL2 right now.

Best of the best.

that's ****ing brilliant man, I'm reading it right now. whoever made it should do it for the whole game, the whole series even, they should send it to VALVe to see what they think.

do you do drugs?

A playthrough of the game on Hard mode without dying and skipping loading screens is the Half-Life movie.

Marc Laidlaw should be doing something you know.
Or maybe they can be written by some other authors, who're just given all the info they need/ played the games, kinda like the Halo novels (the good ones) that really expanded on the backstory that no one ever hears about.
I'd buy that.

I saw Marc Laidlaw credited in Portal; did he write GLADOS' dialog?

And which Halo books were the good ones?

I think the credits for the Orange Box games just consisted of everyone employed at Valve listed in alphabetical order. So Kim Swift is in the EP2 credits and Robin Walker appears in the Portal credits.

Only read Fall of Reach but I enjoyed it. I've heard that the Flood is pretty crap.

No, he didn't wrote monologues but he worked with Erik and Chet on merge of Portal and Half-Life universe.
